DIY Detail Gold Standard Waffle Pad is an all around pad, great for light to medium imperfection removal while providing a great finish. This pad is very soft but still has enough polishing power to work great with medium or light polishes removing swirls, oxidation, etc. DIY recommends pairing this pad with the DIY Detail Gold Standard Polish but it will work with any of your favorite polishes on the market. The secret to this pad is the unique waffle construction which offers peaks and valleys on the face of the pad. This creates pockets, which help to distribute the right amount of product throughout the pad, while reducing product use and keeping operating temperature low. It also provides increased flexibility during use, allowing the face of the pad to efficiently cover the paint on flat, rounded, and angled surfaces. After use, you can clean these pads by hand or via machine. Let them air dry before storing and they will last for many details. Can't go wrong with these pads. The waffle face does a nice job of cutting and Not causing a lot of heat on the paint in return having a nice Finish%u2026. Also, these pads are pretty tough too. They're very durable!
I used DIY's waffle pad with their Gold Standard polish and got great results. I cleaned the pad in DIY's Rinseless Wash at 256:1 ratio (2 cap fulls in 2 gallons of water) and spun the pad out in a separate bucket then sprayed 1 squirt of the polish before moving on. The ever-so-damp pad with their polish worked very nicely.
