The best drying towel I've ever used!!
Good but I prefer the Autofiber Dreadnought.
Wow. I've been using the smaller version for a few years now and was impressed by those. But, this large version is a game changer. The upgrade from the small version to this larger one was the same as jumping from a standard MF to the Dreadnought. Super soft and leaves zero water trails. I used a large waffle and follow with this.
The larger version of this towel is my favorite drying towel of all time, so getting these smaller ones was a no-brainer. They soak up a lot and are not that bulky.
Great towels, The two I bought dried my vehicle well. I usually have to use four regular towels. Very absorbent, I was completely satisfied with them.
Poor drying performance with the 15" x 24" towel. Using them for rinseless washing and it gets soaked quick and leaves water streaks on the paint. Super annoying so I have to go back over with the 12" x 12" Gauntlet.
Drags water rather than absorbing. The Autofiber Dreadnought is a better alternative.
The issue with this towel is it spreads the water instead of drying the water on the car.
Got this small version to wipe the bottom shower corners each time and like the big one for the car, smokes a chamois or regular microfiber cloth at wicking up water, without a wring needed.
At first this towel was great but after 3 months it barely absorbs water. I have used P&S Rags to Riches and even allowed them to soak for 2 hours and still this towel just does not absorb like it used to.
The only drying towels I use!!
The Gauntlet is a fantastic drying towel. This is my 2nd one. One can dry a SUV no issue. I'll wash all our cars at once and two towels is plenty for 3 cars. Like all microfiber towels they have to be washed properly. Rags to Riches is my favorite microfiber wash detergent.
The towel didn't perform too my expectation a $3 drying towel from harbor freight does better definitely wouldn't buy again?
I had been using the cheap waffle weave towels for years. After using this towel I'm mad that I didn't buy it sooner. I can dry my full size truck with this towel and use a second small towel to finish the small cracks and places around the grill and bumpers. If you're thinking about this towel, just buy it!
Great drying towel but the Dreadnought towel in the same size was more absorbent at a better price.
Great towel. Very soft and absorbent. I've used the Pluffel for many years and I think I actually like the Gauntlett better. Also, great price from Detailed Image!
Great towel! We have extremely hard water and I bought this to wipe down our glass shower door and metal trim to avoid hard water spots. The towel picks up the water quickly and doesn't leave any streaks.
The only thing I would suggest, as far as an improvement, is to sew a loop into a corner of the towel so that it could be hung on a hook. I sewed a piece of trim on mine so that I could hang it on a hook with my shower squeegee.
I would definitely recommend this towel!

Great towel, I used it while doing a rinse less wash and found it to be very absorbent. I originally bought the fluffle drying towel several years ago but got away from using it because I liked the waffle weave towels better. I recently bought The Liquid8er, The Gauntlet, and The Double Twistress. I'm looking forward to using all of them eventually. I appreciate the promptness of you website when it comes to processing and shipment of products. I look forward to doing busineess with you in the future.
Nice for drying a pre-correction vehicle, but not worth the money as it seems to lack on versatility.
These are great drying towels. The 15x24 size is perfect for those that use some sort of blower to dry off most of the water from the surface. The towel is soft and works very well in conjunction with a drying aid. They are also great when drying during a rinseless wash.
Pro: extremely absorbent
Con: makes me realize I didn't need a 30x36.
If you use a blower to dry, this towel is the perfect size for finishing the process. This towel made me realize I didn't need the largest Gauntlet towel. It does the job and then some.

Best towel you can get. Just ordered two more.
Arrived quickly and is perfect for planned usage.
On my third one in a few years of different sizes. They're a revelation: softer and seem to hold water better than the waffle weaves I used to use.
This is an awesome replacement to my over used CarPro drying towel. It's is very good quality and I like the fact that it's double sided microfiber versus the CarPro which was only microfiber on one side. I will be buying another once this one is needing replaced.
Quality product, shipped quickly!
Best drying towel out there.
Little smaller than I thought it would be, but works great.
These are the best drying towels out there! Couldn't believe how well they work. I'm satisfied!
Wow. Just wow. Bought 3 of these and couldn't be happier! Unbelievable absorption!
These towels are sized perfectly for wax/detailer removal. Use them more than my 500gsm softies. More to be purchased. Genius.
I bought three. Will probably buy a couple more. Where has this product been all my life!!
Best drying product ever
Best drying product ever
I have to hide these! they work great. No, you can't ring them out but I have three, and two is plenty to dry the car top to bottom, door jams and all.
Awesome, Cant believe the towel held as much water. Cut the drying time down tremendously
16x24 is the size I use for rinseless washes, perfect size, easy to maneuver without touching the ground and buffs to a clean finish.
Towel stores water well but gets heavy after one application which makes it hard to use on multiple vehicles when it's soaking wet.
Awesome drying towel
Best microfiber to dry your car, insane water absorption, available in many sizes it's awesome 😎
This is absolutely the best drying towel on the market!
Had been looking for a smaller drying cloth to do areas of my car where a 12x16 is too large. This towel is perfect, holds a lot of water and is very manageable.
Excellent drying towel
Plan on ordering a couple more.
No other drying towel can even compare to the gauntlet. This towel is a beast & holds an extreme amount of water. I use to have several different drying towels & now have several gauntlets in different sizes. If your on the hunt for the ultimate drying towel no need to look any further, buy a couple of these & you'll be glad you did.
This towel is no joke. Honestly, I didn't believe all the hype ... but one 12x12 towel literally dried my entire car, and was still thirsty! Best drying towel ever.
Bought three after researching many different brands. These work great no lint or fuzz or streaks. Definitely worth buying.
Amazing drying towel. This is a perfect size for even large trucks. Super soft, dries well even when wet. You won't be disappointed.
Would I buy again? I already did. I have two. This towel is unbelievable in drying my Lexus GX 460. I can dry almost the whole vehicle, got the second one to make sure i leave no water behind. Washes up nicely. Highly recommend.
Great towels for drying. They are soft too and clean up good. Very absorbent and did NOT absorb lots of money from my wallet either...good value for the money.
Very soft, keeps my car without swirls
Tried it yesterday for the first time on a Lexus RC 300, works great, much better than the GG one I had, and that they no longer sell. Easily dry the car without having to wring it out. Feels like it would never create any scratches.
Finally a towel that can dry my whole car.
Best drying towel EVER! Love it. I can dry 2 sedans with one towel. I will buy more when this one wears out.
Nice fluffy towel. Holds a lot of water. hard to dry.
This towel is FAT!!! Great drying towel and crazy absorbent!
This towel is super absorbant. I will definitely be buying another!
Excellent product!
This a great towel for cars with some type of protection on it. I can lay this towel on my car and without any pressure pick up all the remaining water off by simply gliding the towel over the car.
nice product.
The Gauntlet towels are awesome period !!...Will buy again!!
I personally like the TRC dry me a river towels but have also purchased the double twistress towels as well, thought this towel would be a nice option as well but seems to grab on the car leaving behind lint which quite honestly defeats the purpose. So in conclusion I will stick with my go to TRC drying towels that I used prior.
This product drys well and absorbs a lot. The towel feels "grabby" so I would shy away from using it on a coated car. I will use this on cars that have not had any paint correction done on it. The amount of water it absorbs in one pass is great though. Works well, but does not feel gentle.
I will buy another one again today. I have never used a more absorbent towel in my life. I have to hand wash my brand new car now because I have a graphine coating on it and there are no touchless car washes in the area, so today I washed my car for the very first time and dried it off with this towel and am amazed at how absorbent it is. One wipe and the water was gone, and one 15 x 24 towel dried my entire mid-size car. These will also make great practical Christmas presents for the guys at work.
My favorite drying towel up until now was the Twist and Shout from The Rag Company. However, I am now switching over fully to the Gauntlet. Worked extremely well and soaked up a ton of water. This combined with what I think is a spectacular price is making it my go-to for drying from now on.
Over the weekend I was able to try the towels out. I washed my Civic Si and used the towels to dry it. I used one of the 20"x30" on the paint and was able to do the entire car with one towel. As a matter of fact I think I could have dried another similar sized care with the same towel. It is important to note that this towel is not one that you can wring out easily as it is very thick. I used the smaller 12"x12" to dry my wheels and it completed dried all four of them and I think I could have dried more with the same towel. Overall I am very happy with the towels and recommend them.

Would they buy this item again? No
I bought a few different sizes of The Gauntlet straight from TRC as I didn't think DI would have it yet. Whoops. But regardless, I'd like to share my review here for anyone looking at this towel.
Put rather simply, this is not a good drying towel. There are much, much better alternatives on the market, and available here at Detailed Image. My favorite drying towel and the one I used to compare The Gauntlet to was the Gyeon Silk Dryer. The Gauntlet in comparison to the Silk Dryer is basically dead weight. Heavy dead weight in fact. For as big and thick as The Gauntlet is, it doesn't take up any more water than the Silk Dryer. And because of that added thickness and weight, it will make wringing it out much harder, especially for those with carpal tunnel, like myself.
This towel really is all show and no go. It left streaks on my coated cars, forcing me to go back over the car with a proper drying towel. In comparison, I can drag the Silk Dryer over the paint of a coated and even uncoated car and it sucks up all of the water and leaves no streaks.
I really don't know why this towel exists. They should have focussed on making their other drying towels work instead of creating another fancy, non-functioning drying towel. But I guess they're using the same model as Chemical Guys: flood the market with a million different choices so the customer buys something. And from a company that complains about this model in their own videos is a little ridiculous. But I like most of the towels from TRC, and I thought this towel would be different as they profess to not try to flood the market with multiples of the same thing. But alas, I was wrong.
