Rupes Backing Plate Reviews

I've been through two of these since I bought the Duetto last year. The velcro is extremely good at holding pads, so good in fact it becomes a challenge to remove the pad. Even using the Rupes pad removing tool, the velcro will quickly start to pull away from the backing plate. Unfortunately, there are no options for another manufactures model. So I guess I'll buy it again, and again,...

Pros- it's light, balanced well, works better than my stock backing plate for my Griots Garage 15mm boss DA
Cons- the price... (if I had to name one)
I needed a new one for my polisher because the hook and loop backing was peeling up on my stock backing plate. I wanted to try a different plate and Griots themselves actually recommended this Rupes plate because it's balanced properly for the Griots Boss 15mm machine. I think my machine now feels way more comfortable in hand while
Polishing, and I honestly feel like it cuts faster but maybe I'm wrong.

Ordered this to change my lhr21mk3 to a 5". Now I can use my 5 inch pads with my new machine

bought to replace the original. works great. super tight velcro backing.

I bought Rupes 21 mark ll and switch the backing plates for 2 size pads. It's like having too polishers for one price.

Bought this to use on my Griot's Garage BOSS 21. You will need to heavily mod a washer to make it work but it seems to work well!

this is the right one since the 6" BP that comes with the machine , doesn't fit most of my pads ... most are 5.5 inch pads... also it works way better at holding pads on ... I tried the light grip BP from a different company ... and it would sling pads across driveways like mad... this one holds true ! a must for any rupes 21 owner !

Great to go with my Rupes 21...

I marked this as a buy item again for the fact that it is an identical replacement and the only reason I needed a new plate is for the fact that the hook and loop on it is so damn strong. It holds pads like no other, an amazing backing plate to match an amazing polisher.
