Product Description
The DA Fine Polishing Compound removes light to moderate paint defects while producing a haze-free finish so your paint looks amazing! This unique fusion of correcting and finishing allows DA Fine to maximize the finishing ability using all dual-action polishers, including random orbital (i.e. BigFoot Random Orbital Polisher) and gear-driven tools (i.e. BigFoot Mille LK900E). Use this amazing fine polish by itself to remove moderate defects and create a stunning finish. You can also use this product as a second step to further refine a surface corrected with a heavier pad and polish combo (ie. Rupes DA Coarse Compound and Cutting Foam Pad). After use, the easy wipe-off finish allows you to quickly wipe away residue with a clean microfiber towel compared to many other competing prodcuts. With only a few drops, DA Fine will create that stunning, ready to protect finish we all strive for!Rupes D-A Polishing System:
Professional Detailer Reviews
We recently received the new Rupes D-A system to test out, this was all done on our personal vehicle, a Toyota Prius C, as we are extremely familiar with the paint and how it reacts so we can isolate that variable for a more streamlined analysis.
From The Label
Product Description
D-A Fine is the result of extensive testing to develop a fine polish that combines noticeable cutting performance with impressive finishing capability. The proprietary formula developed and blended in-house by RUPES is designed to perform with both large stroke random orbital polishers and gear-driven orbital polishers. Combined with RUPES specially designed yellow foam, wool, or microfiber pads DA-FINE delivers a much higher level of defect removal when compared to traditional fine polishing compounds, yet still provides the incredibly high finish quality and easy wipe off expected from a product formulated for final finishing after a coarse cutting compound. RUPES D-A FINE is body shop safe and performs well on clear coat, single stage paint, gelcot, varnish, and more.
Directions
- Shake well before use.
- Select pad type based on desired level of defect removal and finish quality.
- Prime pad by applying D-A Fine to the face of the pad.
- Work the product in a section 6x the size of the polishing pad being used applying light to moderate pressure.
- Wipe away residue with a clean, soft microfiber cloth and inspect the surface for results.
Tips for Success:
- Properly decontaminate the surface prior to beginning any polishing procedure.
- Clean pads frequently with compressed air or RUPES Claw Pad Tool to maintain consistent performance.
- Do not over-saturate the pad with polish.
- For best performance always use with RUPES polishing pads. Yellow wool or microfiber are recommended for heavier cutting, yellow foam for light defects and finishing.
- If working on a severely defected surface use D-A Coarse first to address deeper imperfections.
Customer Reviews
Absolutely love the Rupes yellow compound. Very minimal dusting when working in the right conditions... Moderate and controllable cut. My primary polishing liquid... usually switch out pads to adjust my cut. Easy to wipe off as well.
There are a lot of "one does all" polishes emerging these days. They all seem to do their job well. They're basically medium polishes where the manufacturer tells the end user to adjust the performance by changing pads and/or technique.
One could easily place DA Fine in this category, but I'm finding that the finish it leaves very refined on a consistent basis.
Like the DA Coarse I had a bit of a learning curve with it - not as much, but being very used to another polish's characteristic. Because I get a lot of cut up front with DA Fine, I found myself over working it, and over loading with product - which produced a bit of dusting. On a 6" pad, I only need one or two drops to reload, and maybe two passes. Very fast acting polish.
One of my favorite characteristics of these polishes - the entire line - is very easy wipe off.
With all of the positive characteristics of these action packed polishes I'm finding myself starting to reach for them more and more often. It could be that these polishes are the most advanced on the market today. They really found a nice fulcrum of performance and usability. Some lines can be easier, but lack performance. Others approach the performance, but lack ease of use. Rupes seems to have found the sweet spot.

I believe the Rupes fine finish polish is the star of the Rupes DA polishing system. Little or no dust, great work time and astonishing results.
