Rupes BigFoot iBrid Nano Reviews
Professional Detailer Reviews
Overall, we have found the Rupes iBrid Nano to be a welcome addition to the Rupes lineup. The tool certainly has its limitations, but it enables us to get into areas that were previously not accessible with larger machines.
Customer Reviews
This is a must have for any professional detailer. It provides a much more precise finish during paint correction of contoured areas and is our go to for spot correction of small defects.
Amazing machine love it and im glad I pick the long neck version! At my detailing business all of our polishers are Rupes
This was quite a splurge, bought the short version. Right up front, a part of me wishes I'd sprung for the long neck. In trying to do engine bay polishing, I quickly discovered why the long neck would have been better. Despite that, the device itself is great. I found it to have more than enough power even running on batteries, and it cuts very nicely. It will allow me to polish areas I could have only gotten to by hand in the past, so I am very much looking forward to using it. Now that I have this in the full case, at some point in the future I'll get a stand alone long neck as well. For now, this'll do just fine.
Love the machine and does everything I need it to do.
Bare with me here because we are going to talk about long vs short neck, kit vs essentials and the i-birds use case over a dedicated small buffer.
Use case: The i-bird is a great unit that makes quick work over tight areas like door knobs, door jams, razor thin paint trim portions and awkward/tight lines around license plate brackets to name a few. Now on something like my Rupes mini I can get to a lot with it while getting good results, but I can't get everything. Sometimes you need a 1.25-2in pad with the tinier head the i-bird provides to take your results to the next level. To be clear the i-bird is an add on to a dedicated small buffer, not a replacement. I am not going to go around and use my i-bird on the spots my LHR 15 big foot mk III won't get, using my LHR 75 for that.
Long vs Short neck: I splurged on the long neck version because it was only $30 more. I don't own the short neck, but I have yet to come across a use case where the added length of the long neck added anything. My recommendation is save $30 and get the short neck.
I-bird kit vs essentials: Get the kit. The reason why is that you will use 95% of what this kit offers on your first car to do the job right. Every little tool here has a very unique purpose and buying the kit makes sense. The kit also comes with a nice rugged case that has very clear cut outs for everything and goes further by providing very clearly labelling what every tool/part is in the kit.
Overall this kit/i-bird is a must have for anyone that does detailing for money or has the budget to justify this tool in what it brings to the table. As with any buffer you have to learn it and perfect your technique, the i-bird is no exception. I use rupes buffers, which function differently than most DA's, so picking up the i-bird was quick and easy for me. My point is understand you may have to adjust your technique some when using the i-bird. With the proper pad, product and technique the i-bird has a surprising amount of correction capability.

Great tool for those nooks and crannies. Very happy.
This is an amazing tool that comes with everything you need to get started. It is an invaluable tool that everyone who is into paint corrections should have in their arsenal.
I don't understand some of the negative reviews, if you learn how to use it...it works perfectly. If you're polishing paint, always make sure you are using either the rotary or 12mm offset adapter. The 3mm adapter is for sanding only and it will stall if you try to use it for polishing.
Sure the battery life isn't very long, but you get two batteries and the dead battery charges faster than you can use up the fresh one. Plus there is an AC power adapter included so you always have power...no matter what.

I bought the Rupes Nano longneck box kit and it's awful. Not enough power, batteries die fast. The electric socket plug started to smoke as I was using it. It's a safety hazard.
I'm actually so mad I bought this thing. Rupes should be ashamed for putting their name on it. It's a kids toy that's overpriced.
I honestly want my money back!

5 words for you, What Are You Wanting For!! This $600.00 "electric toothbrush" as my wife calls it, is absolutely a necessity that not only helps get into those tight area's but makes your paint corrections that much better plus saves time! And Time Is Money!!
Oh Yeah, I will be getting another long neck body only to keep set up for just the 3mm DA with a polishing pad to use and speed up my time for my 2-step. Well Worth The Money.

Expensive, Yes but totally worth the money ! Rupes Products are High Quality and great for getting into tight crevices nooks and crannies. I have used this tool probably over 60hrs and it is holding up great. The attachments and batteries are quality and durable. Works great for polishing small surfaces on the Interior of vehicles but is also used extensively on the exterior as well.
Great addition to my buffing arsenal. Made tackling small areas and any small scratches much easier and less invasive versus using the larger DA's. Paint correction surgery! Also comes in handy when polishing wheels for coatings. I was able to get into all areas of the wheel.
I love this kit! I have used it for several months now and I don't know what I would do without it! It is great for mobile detailing when the customer wants isolated scratches removed. It is also great for high end paint correction when you want to make sure every square inch of the paint is in perfect condition! The Deluxe Kit is a great value for money because to get all of these items individually it would cost over $1000.00.
I've been waiting over 2 years to make the purchase. Totally worth the cost to get the entire kit versus just the buffer. Will be needing a short neck soon .
Rupes puts out another quality product. You have to be realistic about what a polisher this size can do and what it can't. It's not powered like a full size polisher. It works. But it works slowly. It's an invaluable tool once you learn how to use it.
Great addition to my buffing equipment. Came in handy when polishing wheels for a nano coating. It was able to get into all areas of the wheel. Can't wait to use it on a full vehicle correction job.
Yes I will buy this product again, but their policy on returns does not allow tools, look into it. Their staff are awesome.
Amazing buffer tool that comes in really handy when trying to correct tight front bumper spots as well as rear trunk lids/license plate areas where others simply won't reach. The portability and rotary function alone sold me on this purchase. I recommend you buy the kit with all the extras as buying separate will cost you more in the long run. Quality RUPES never disappoints. Pricey? Yes, but then again, you get what you pay for!
Love this thing! Perfect for right spots and curves. Use it on painted interior panels often! Favorite thing is for test spots on vehicles. I carry it with me everywhere. My favorite purschase thus far!
Awesome tool to have in the arsenal!! Rotary setting on this tool is amazing!! The battery charger is a little picky though. Seems you have to unplug it and plug it back in to get it to charge a new battery.
By far the best tool for detailing all the little areas on a vehicle.
The portability, being battery powered, is awesome.
The 2 Lithium-Ion batteries (included) recharge quickly, ensuring you can always be detailing.
Excellent investment for anyone serious about detailing.

Great product! Love the versatility of it also!
Well worth the money, I contemplated ordering one for a month but glad I finally did. Very useful in so many ways
An amazing addition to your buffing and polishing Arsenal. An amazing little tool with great versatility. Can be used as a rotary, or as a da.
Amazing tool.
For my first go, I mostly used the smaller blue pads then my Rupes bigfoot w/ 6" and white Rupes pad and polish to finish. I briefly used the DA adapter but finishing didn't need as much attention to detail to I went big to save time.
The battery life mostly lives up to the claim that by the time you drain one the next is ready to go. However, I did find that as the battery drained lower, the RPMs started to slow. Nothing horrible, but for bad spots start with a fresh battery if you are going max RPM.
BTW, great call to include not only 2 batteries but an a/c adapter. Small issue with my adapter, but DI's great customer support is on top of it. This is a fantastic kit!
Polishing properly on vehicles with intricate curves and body styling is now easy and portable. Unless you dealing with cars that have nothing but large panels, this is now a necessary tool.
Oh, one last thing, it is SUPER quiet compared to its big brother or that 3inch Griot. (That Griot may be heading to the donation bin...)

Excellent addition to my detailing tools. Thank you Rupes and Detailed Image.
It's great and the best tool for a good detailing and does not leave swirls marks.
