Optimum Opti Clean Reviews

This is working out nicely for refreshing the rear and front ends of our recently detailed daily drivers every couple of days. Was previously using ONR in a 10:1 dilution, but this product is better suited to waterless. Not obviously using this for any client details (as they are getting a full fresh detail), but if anyone asks how to maintain for a week or two after their jaw-dropping detail, then I would highly recommend this product.
I use this mainly for removing bird droppings, fingerprints and as a pre-soak during a rinseless wash. It's a good product, except for the scent, which fragrance is subjective.
Apprehensive at first. But as i continued on with the wash i have been converted. One thing you need to take into account is that you will need more MFRs than you thought.
THIS is the product I had needed all my life!
I spent years using ONR at as solution for a "waterless wash". It was ok, but nowhere near the lubrication needed for safe use. But Opti-clean has it in spades.
I admit that there was a learning curve for me. If I used too much, it would get streaky on wipe off. But it only took a handful of attempts to get it down.
Opti-Clean plays nice with all of the Optimum consumer grade surface paint protectants. Excellent when followed up with Optimum Instant Detailer and Gloss Enhancer. I even have great luck with it on wheels I have Hyper Seal on, and tires I have their tire coating on.
Additionally, this product smells incredible, and is versatile. Both my wife and my mom have Opti-Clean on hand for cleaning around the condo and house respectively.
I'm so glad I have this a try, because I really enjoy using it. This past spring/summer of 2021 I took a deep dive into the Optimum line, and I couldn't be more pleased - even though I've had ONR, Car Wax, Opti-Seal, Paint Prep, and Gloss Coat on hand for years. Rounding out the line with other cleaners, detailer's, polishes, etc, etc I have been able to experience the true compatibility of the line. I'm impressed, happy, and relieved.

Good product, works great for many areas of the car. You get a lot of it for a reasonable price. All the Optimum products are great. I use ONRW, ONRWW, ONR car wax, and the Opti clean.
Great product cleans and leaves a nice shine works great as a follow up after waxing or using a quick detailing spray
I have been using Opti-Clean on my cars for years when I need a quick touch up or have a bird bomb to deal with. Where it really makes life easier is when I'm traveling in my RV. Very rarely do I have access to a hose for washing. I have been able to keep the RV looking good because I carry a bin full of microfiber cloths and a quart of Opti-Clean concentrate. I wouldn't travel without it.
Very good surface lubricity for dirty surfaces. Also leave good slickness. In rainy weather (PacNW) I augment (any water-less wash) by using Chem Guys Extreme Slick Synthetic detailer which not only increases slickness, but also works great as a drying agent! Benefit of drying agent is to reduce need for excessive wiping with MF towels to dry-off water-less wash in high humidity situations. I then follow with Meguiar's Ultimate Quik Wax to add even more slickness and logevity. Rain just blows off hood as soon as it hits (35 mph and up). The time savings you get from Extreme Slick acting as a drying agent pays for the extra time to apply Ultimate Quik Wax. Road splash/grime on lower panels comes off easily - reducing chances of scratching. This is a great trio for the winter/rainy season. All these products are relatively cheap, but give you high gloss and great surface slickness.
Works great to maintain Optimum Gloss Coat as a waterless wash. Leaves the surface feeling slick. Works great on other coatings as well. Works great to clean up the door jambs and engine bay compartment.

High lubricant Waterless Wash which leave a very slick surface. Have Nissan Rogue in Jet Black. Live in rural area with high airborne contaminants from surrounding farms and sawmills. Cannot use house well water due to high iron and calcium. So, I waterless wash every day. Have used CG EcoSmart, Adams Rinseless Wash, Microfibertech's Pure Luster, ONR, and ONRWW, and Pinnacle Liquid Crystal. Opti-Clean's high lubricity allows dust to just slide off using high nap towels on first pass. Then waffle weave towel to finish drying, and to buff out shine. Excellent results with high hydrophobic effect which lasts several days. 98% of water from free touchless wash at work (sawmill) just slides right off with car completely dry within a couple of miles at 55 MPH. I alternate with ONR Wash and Wax, and Pinnacle Liquid Crystal to add additional shine. I also use Optimum Car Wax for protection, shine and added slickness. These products are an excellent combination. Increased slickness not only repels water, but even the feral cats have stopped sleeping on my hood at night as they don't like sliding off (scratches left are another story. Re Opti-Clean - suggest NOT spraying large areas, but rather working 1/2 hood or one door panel at a time. If this product starts drying (on warm/hot days) then you have to work harder to remove to avoid streaking/marring. Spray 1/2 hood then remove with high nap towel, following immediately with short nap, or waffle weave towel for final dry/buff to shine. If you get some streaks/marring then use detail spray to remove. Re cost - Try the small size and if you like it then get the gallon - I get by with 6 to 7 oz concentrate to 1 gal of distilled water = 1 gal of concentrate can make 18 to 20 gallons of diluted wash - buy on sale and you wind up at $1.50 per gallon of wash - really an inexpensive WW! Given the high lubricity and great slickness of the result this is one of the best products on the market.
A good product and among the best waterLESS washes I have tried. That being said, I am not sure I would buy it again, as its just not the most economical product out there. But if I had some sort of expensive car and NEEDED a top tier WW, this or Garry Deans IUDJ with Juice Boost is what I would be looking at.
I have many waterless washes that I use regularly to clean my car when it isn't that dirty.Poorboy's for cleaning and1Z for the shine it leaves are my two favorites.Opti- clean equals these but has many more uses and with the 32oz concentrate that I bought is a lot cheaper per application. This one is a keeper,I am very happy with it.
Great Product
I used it as a lube for Nanoskin pad for my Griotts polisher and I could not believe how smooth, slick, and shiny it turned out for a 13-yr old Honda Accord with black paint. OOC has combined the decontamination and the protection work into a time saving one-step process. I was able to complete this in about one hour. I waited for my wife to drive out of the garage the next morning and really admired the shine, but the best part is how smooth the paint is when I glide my hand on the car. Optimum is a fantastic company and I use their spray wax and ONRW, which are also time savers that provides incredible results. Thank you Dr G.
Very versitile product. Can be used on interior or exterior. Seems to clean fairly well but not as strong as an all purpose cleaner in my opinion. I ilke the gloss and slickness it leaves on painted surfaces. Biggest con is price.
I love this product. I use it almost daily just to keep the car looking better than good.
Terrific stuff. I bought this on a whim and it does seem great for bird bombs and other spot-cleaning tasks. For giggles I used it on brake-dusted OEM Audi wheels and sooty exhaust tips...I was very pleased with the results.
Lots of uses like so many of the great optimum products. This one is not quite as good as ONR to clean the entire exterior of the car but it is great for just about everything else. It is a must have product.
Very easy to use. Smooth, safe for the clearcoat. It only took me 45 minutes to do the whole car without rushing it (black E90). Definitely a surprise. Will order as soon as I run out of the concentrate - although it seems like it will take some time before I run out of the 32oz concentrate bottle!!
I like everyone else was skeptical about waterless wash. This product is awesome. Spray it on a wipe it off with a quality micro towel and you have a clean vehicle with no scratches. I was so impressed I purchased the 128 oz. bottle.
Nice product that I keep close at hand. I use ONR for the wash, but Opti Clean to finish up in the door jambs and under the hood. It's also handy for dealing with spot clean ups and bird bombs.
Bought 32 Oz. Very good for cleaning out the pollen and tree sap. I like the smell of ONR better but the smell of OOC is not bad.
This stuff is great, i used it to clean an engine bay as well as floormats, really MP products, would buy again:)
I have multiple spray on wipe off "washes" and I'm very glad that this one was added to the shelf. It works very well, leaves a nice glow to the paint, and adds slickness. The slickness diminishes by 50% or so within 36 hours but I don't consider that a negative because the look remains. I'm glad I bought a quart of concentrate as it will be used often. Very good product, don't be afraid of it. Well beyond a quick detailer and no fear of marring when used as directed. Two thumbs up.
Just when you think it can't get any better than ONR this product comes out. I love how easy it is to give your car a quick clean with this stuff and really works well on windows.
OOC and its Ultima counterpart have changed the Waterless game! Price is fantastic and results are even better. I havent used QD since I bought a gallon. I still use Spray Waxes though.

Best waterless wash product out there. After buying this, I'm now looking at my QD supply and wondering if I'll ever use them again.
