Meguiar's DA Microfiber Finishing Disc Buffing Pad Reviews
Professional Detailer Reviews
Overall, I'd say this system has exceeded my expectations. It's also very apparent to me that Meguiar's spent a lot of time developing the products. While I expected the polishes and pads to work well, as it's what I've come to expect from Meguiars, it was actually the little things about this system that showed how much thought went into developing these products.
This new microfiber system will definitely find its way into most or all detailing shops, and, more importantly, into the hands of DIY enthusiasts' with no rotary experience. It definitely helps to bridge the gap even more between DA polishing and the more aggressive, potentially dangerous, rotary polishing process. I believe the ease of use is what will set it apart from any other competition and make it a favorite to many that have been waiting for some time now.
Meguiar's has developed game-changing technology here; particularly on the compounding side of the equation. Heavy defect removal, ease of use, and with the relative safety of using a dual action polisher is a winner in my book!

The Megs finishing pads do an excellent job for the final polish step .They also work well using a one step polish product .

pro's is that it polishes good. con is that Velcro does not adhere to backing plate after just doing 3 panel on my car. other pads still stick to my current backing plate so it is not the issue.
Pads arrived and one of them had the Velcro separating from the foam portion . The foam portion seemed to be of poor quality as you could rub your finger across it and the foam would start to separate . I tried the one good pad to polish an aluminum spinner and the pad quickly loaded up with polish and matted down . It did polish well , but it only took a short amount of time for the pad to load up and mat . To be honest I could not tell a difference in performance between the MFP and a white foam finishing pad .
With regard to the one pad that came apart upon arrival , I notified DI and they quickly gave me a credit toward a future purchase . 5 stars for DI !

Little bit of a learning curve but works great and easy to clean. Should have got the cutting pad also.
This had a little bit of a learning curve, as I use foam pads, but these things really work. Buffed out 1500/3000 sanded clear coat with 105 and a Flex. I should have got the cutting type pad, but 2 passes did it.
I recently buffed out the tail gate on my red 1997 Ford F-250. I Had a problem with the pads coming apart from the velcro backing. Meguires products are always so good, so I'm not sure if there is a problem with these pads. I contacted DI custemer support and they said there were not any other complaints with these pads but would be monitering the issue. DI gave me credit for the pads I lost and a few dollars more. You can't go wrong with DI. They support their customers 100 percent. I have been buying from DI for a while and will continue to be a customer. They are dedicated to their people. If you have a problem with a product just let them know and it will be made right ASAP !!
The use of these Microfiber Finishing Discs has raised my detailing to a brand new level. They are capable of extremely fine polishing with the PC and M205. We just took Best Muscle Car in a recent show on a Jet Black 1967 Mustang that was only prepped with these pads, M205 and CG's Blacklight, no wax. That's incredibly fine!
