Lake Country Yellow Cutting Pad Reviews

Teamed up with Meg's 105 and other compounds these flat pads are Great on a rotory and DA. I wonder what people are doing to with these pads when they say they fall apart?
Operator error is what it sounds like.

A must have if you own a buffer. This pad can remove deep scratches that an orange pad just can't. No matter how clean you think your paint is, I guarantee you will find a spot that the yellow pad will come out on. Snag it and have it for the spots you need it in. The most aggressive lake county pad here will make quick work of most any imperfection on your car (within the reason of course). Next to the finishing pad this is the most important pad in my arsenal.
I love this pad! I worked on a S400 Mercedes Black and I used Menzerna 400. That pad cut the swirls and scratches out of that paint quickly and left the car looking beautiful . I just followed up with Menzerna 3800 with a polishing pad / light cutting. I will say that you have to know your products and what it will do on different paint. I saved a lot of time using this pad. Yes I would recommend this.
I like this pad, just be careful of corners or it is easier to burn your paint off if you buff that spot too hard! As I did unfortunately!
Great pad for heavily defected surfaces. Loves to dust though even with a no-dusting compound so be ready for that.
I like the results on my motorcycle parts using these LC yellow, pink and black pads on a GG 3" RO polisher, already ordered more.
Used this pad on Harley Davidson detail. I used a FLEX PE 8 Kompakt Rotary Polisher with this pads, low rpm and slow hand movement. Heavy cutting, may leave marring. Compounding pad.
They give excellent results.

Great overall pad
I think Lake County makes great buffer pads. Once in a while I seem to get a few that end up concaving but I attribute that mainly to user error in allowing too much heat to build up. That's why we must always have extras. Only pads I use so I will be purchasing more.
Had bad luck with these yellow pad more on the construction of the backing of the pad . I had 3 of them that the adhesive would start to come apart and I tried with one of them to add 3m adhesive on it and it didn't work out well. The cut is good but maybe I got the messed up ones
A nice, durable cutting pad. Works great to remove heavier defects when paired with a good cutting compound like Meguiar's M105 or M101
LC pads are awesome.
Remember that you need a few of each color to do an entire car. I usually use 3 of each color on the car. Sometimes I can get away with less yellow/orange depending on the condition.

Would they buy this item again? Yes
My cutting pad of choice before the LC PFW pads came out. Does great correction and should be used for very deep swirl marks and other defects. For those who prefer foam over wool, or foamed-wool pads, this is the best cutting pad out there.
