Lake Country Snappy Clean Boost Pad Cleaner Reviews
Customer Reviews
Makes cleaning polishing pads a breeze! Let it soak in and really break down. I usually fill a 5 gallon bucket and pour the whole pouch in with about 20-25 pads. After 15 minutes of soaking I start my cleaning process, and they come out like new! Only product I will buy when it comes to cleaning pads in bulk!
Works great!!! I use it to clean my polishing rags and it does a very good job at getting the tough parts of the polish out of the rags. would recommend to anyone trying to save money on rags and polishing pads for getting them clean and extending the life of them.
It is very goodl and help reduce time after a day of work, in very short time all pads are ready for next day
It honestly is made of magic fairy dust. It cleans better than any cleaner we put in our pad washers
I definitely would buy this again! Snappy pad cleaning solution, along with the Lake Country LC4000 pad washer saves time and makes detailing easier.
Easy use, easy to carry. Works quickly wth no mess. I purchased a lake country 4000 from you to clean the pads. Keep a microfiber towels nearby to wipe off dirty residue from top of pad washer.
Seems to work great and cheap. Just throw your pads in a spackle bucked with warm water and this mix. Let them sit which seems to loosen up dried product pretty well. Then just wring out and rinse out in the sink and try to rub any extra spent product out.
Easy and effective.

Use to clean the microfiber cloth and use to clean my car polish applicator. I wouldn't use anything else. Since using this product, I don't use anything else. Awesome product!
A must have for cleaning pads - use warm to slightly hot water and wear gloves because it's tough on your skin.
This is a realy good product! It works great, it does the job no questions asked. I love this stuff.
Agree with some above assessments - warm water works great. It still works just fine with cold, too. This stuff is great. The first time I used it I just soaked some heavily gummed up pads in it for maybe 20 minutes then brushed them out under running water. I was amazed how easily they cleaned up. Now I used it in my Lake Country Pad Cleaner (which is a separate review) and the combination cannot be beat. Perfectly clean and super quick!!
These little packets are worth their weight in gold when it comes to cleaning pads. Cleaning polish from your pads can be a pain in the behind for those who don't know. These packets make cleaning our your cutting, light, finishing, metal polishes so much easier. I would say it has cut my cleaning of pads down by more than half. No cons here to these little packets.
This cleaner is real easy to use and does a great job cleaning the pads
Makes cleaning pads so much easier. I let them soak in a bucket of water and snappy clean until I'm done with my job. Bring them in after and rinse and work the cleaner and product out with my fingers. It has greatly reduced the time spent cleaning pads and towels. One thing it did not help in cleaning off a pad was Jescar powerlock, that stuff is very difficult to clean from a pad and this stuff didn't help much but works well for polishes and compounds. I just bought 10 more packets so I and sure to not run out.
This cleaner is real easy to use and does a great job cleaning the pads.
Can't wait to use it in my pad cleaner, will be helpful to gain lost time when doing paint correction. Very cost effective.
Great product! I put this in the bucket and fill it with water. I switch pads pretty often, so as I use the pads I will throw them in the bucket and let them sit there. Once I'm done detailing, I take the pads out and rinse with water until the soapiness is gone. This works really well to keep my pads clean.
Good stuff. The only downside is instructions for use were not printed on the packaging. I had to come back to this website to be reminded how to use the product.
Miracle Product! Before turning to DA foam pads, I used to do everything by hand. So all my hardend microfiber towels from compound and polish, were semi cleaned by laundry soap or dish soap but always left a stain.
I used this on my newly purchased DA foam pads and it cleaned everything quickly. But the stuff it didn't, I let it sit over night, scrubbed and resoaked. Everything was cleaned and looked almost brand new! After seeing how well it cleaned the foam pads, I used it on my MF towels.
Very impressed! Wish I would've found this product years ago.
FYI it doesn't completely take away grease stains/big dirt stains, I had to use dish soap.

Butting a +50' boat requires lots of time to clean pads. The switch to this pad cleaner has not only saved us hours of work, but has extended the longevity of our pads as well. Highly recommended.
I have been using this product for several years now. I put the pads in a bucket of cleaner, squeeze the pads a couple of times to get the product into the pads and let them set for a couple of hours or even overnight if I'm feeling too lazy to finish cleaning them the same day. Simply rinse the cleaner out of the pads and voila, pads come completely clean.
Very effective. I was impressed. I used a third of a package in a 1G pail for four six inch pads. Worked great.
Purposely left 2 orange pads and 2 black pads that had polish, sealant, and wax from three days ago out to see what the hype is all about with these Snappy packets. Poured in bucket with water and mixed it in with pressures water. Soaked pads for 10 minutes and then scrubbed them a little bit. All I can say is that these are awesome. Pads came out nice and fresh.
2 LC pads, an Orange with Griot's Complete Compound and a Black with Maguire's NXT. The orange had set for 12 hrs before cleaning; the black less than an hr.
Used 1/2 pkg in 2 gals of warm water. Soaked 20 minutes and agitated pads well. Went back 15 minutes later and agitated pads well and squeezed out all the product. Washed both out well in warm water.
Orange with Griot's gets an A ! Did a terrific job. Very clean.
Black with the NXT not so much!! Get's a C. Had to wash NXT out with dish soap. Snappy got a lot, but not even close to being clean. Worth the price, though, on both.

It's very convenient. Cleans up well
This product does a great job. It is the only pad cleaner I have used, so I have no comparison. I'm pleased and will continue to use.
I used this product to clean the pads and microfiber towel after cleaning and polishing my car. Then washing the pad and microfiber towel in hot water first. Then put the pad or microfiber towel in the bucket with the snappy clean boost pad cleaner, it cleans very well.
Simply indispensable!
Surprisingly enough It worked great I was very skeptical because I have tried other pad cleaners and they didn't work at all!!

Yes this product works.
NO DIRECTIONS AS TO HOW TO MIX
This product quickly breaks down polishes/sealants. I've used on pack to clean up to four or 5 LC pads and 2 to 3 hand held terry covered foam pads at one that were used over a two day period. I let one batch set overnight and I finish polishing/sealing the following day and throw the freshly used pads in with the pads from the previous day. It cleans them all.
I used to use Snappy Clean - but then tried using Dawn and other APCs to get the job done. Don't bother - nothing cleans like Snappy Clean. I put about 3 gallons of hot water into a 5 gallon bucket, pour about half a package of Snappy Clean in - and toss the used pads in as I change them out. By the end of the day, they're ready for a good rinse and squeeze - and they're done!
These packages of cleaner work very well. I like the smell of it and it does a great job of cleaning pads and towels.
I will probably buy again unless I can find a better product.
I cannot give this product a full endorsement. It worked great on my pads that had Optimum Hyper Polish on them, but the ones that had Menzerna's Power Lock Plus in them, it did not break that sealant down at all!
I let them soak for different time periods. I added extra Snappy's. I tried putting some Dawn soap with them. Nothing worked...The sealant just turned slimy in/on my pads!
Maybe the fact that the Power Lock doesn't break down is a testament to it's durability, but the Snappy's did not work to get my pads clean of that product.

Amazing how the product dissolves the was off the pad. You need this if you are using the Velcro pads. Excellent.
Works well. Cleans pads well.
Yes. I mixed it with hot water in a 5 gallon bucket and tossed the pads in there as i swapped out pads. When the job was done at the end of the day the polish just rinsed right out of the pads. I was shocked at how easy clean up was.
Smells like piss(literally) but really pulls the product off of the pads. Definitely a must have.
Great product! Made my pads clean out very easily and they're now like new. I wouldn't have known about this product if it wasn't for the great write ups/guides here at Detailed Image. I've used the pads twice now and they still seem brand new.
I cant compare this to other pad cleaners because Ive never used anything else before. Having said that I see no reason to ever buy any other pad cleaner either. This stuff is reasonably priced and works super great ! I use half a pack per 3 or 4 gallons of really warm water ... wring out the pads and rinse then let air dry over nite. Ive had the same pads for almost 3 years and they still look and work great ! I have no interest in trying any other cleaners. if it ain't broke ... don't fix it .
I bought a pad washer from a friend. I can't believe how clean the pads come out using a packet of Snappy Clean. Like New. I'm trying to use the same water for at least a month since I'll only be cleaning a dozen or so pads in that time.

I used the Snappy Clean as directed and had a great outcome. My microfiber pads and black pads came out perfectly clean of compounds, sealants, wax and Detail spray. Won't go with out it. My pads look brand new.
I love it when a product works as intended. That's exactly what this did....great smell and great cleaning power. I just let my pads soak in the solution, gave them a squeeze and then rinse. Perfect...just like new!!
Oh...and by the way, it's not good for pads used for sealant or wax. For wax and sealant pads, I pat them dry (removing wax or sealant) with a microfiber towel and then let them set in the cleaner for 20 minutes AND then rinse and spin. Cleans them pretty well.
Excellent product when used as directed. Let them soak for at least 20 minutes and then just rinse and spin! Ready for Round 2.....
Used as directed, this stuff is great for cleaning your pads. I soak the pads in the snappy cleaner, then agitate them squeezing the pads to loosen the embedded product in the pads and then rinse the pads well to get out as much of the cleaner as I can. I then use a microfiber liquid laundry product (I use 3D microfiber cleaner by the gallon which I highly recommend) in my washing machine which gets the pads very clean. It might be overkill on the cleaning of my pads but it works for me in getting my pads to like new condition.

Used it for the first time today. Cleaned my pads to like new, after cleaning my pads I soaked my towels and cleaned them also. Great cleaner.
It worked great on the pads I had used for polishing compounds but had no effect at all on the ones I used for Wolfgang 3.0 sealant. There might not be a good one for that as it seems to have a very oily base but I am going to keep looking for a pad cleaner that will do them all.
This stuff works great! I followed the directions and the polishing pads were clean with all polishing compounds and waxes removed without any traces of leftover residues.
Solid bang for your buck when it comes to pad cleaning compared to other alternatives, works as advertised, aroma isn't too strong and makes cleaning out spent residue a breeze.
Product was excellent. It cleaned up polishing pads and rags like new.
Excellent product! Cleans pads very well. I highly recommend!
Great stuff, breaks down residue quickly and cleans very well.
If you're use to washing your polishing pads with just water or car wash soap, it's time to try out these cleaner pad! I usually pour just a small amount in my wash bucket and let it soak overnight. Following day, I spray the pads clean with a strong water hose and let the pads air dry. Polishing residue comes out easily after this cleaner breaks it down.
Works great. much better than I had expected. Yes I will buy some more after I use these packages up.
I tried it today and it worked great. Great way to soak and clean the pads and towels with less effort in a 5gal. bucket.
Works great on pads and I also soaked some of my dirtier Microfibers in there for a few minutes and they came out looking brand new.
We get a 5 gallon bucket half full of hot water and throw the snappy clean pad cleaner in the bucket . And as the pads gets dirty we throw them in the bucket so that the product doesnt dry in the pad. Doesnt leave any wax so we dont have to worry about having wax in the washing machine. Does a wonderful job. Very impressive and a great time saver.
This worked great to clean my pads, except the blue finishing pad, which was saturated with Blackfire Wet Diamond. That one required something extra, but nothing special. Definitely recommend for removal of polishes, glazes, etc.
Works quite well to clean the pads, a great product that saves a lot of time and cleans the pads well on its own.
Awesome product! Restored 5 dirty pads to like new condition. Could not be easier to use.
This stuff really works. I used one package to clean 6 dirty pads with a bucket of warm water. All pads look almost brand new! Great stuff.
As many previous reviewers have already stated, great product. I have been able to get great results by using half a packet with 2.5 gallons of water. Either way, you can't go wrong.

I usually use Dawn dish soap and Vinegar to clean my pads. I had a few pads that just would not come clean...especially a couple of white pads. I used half a pack and half the water and cleaned 6 pads in the sink... Even the dingy white pads and some appplicators I use on my painted wheels came very clean and soft like new. Very good product.
I love this stuff I can never seem to get my pads all the way clean. Not a problem anymore.
Works very well to clean polishing pads. Gets rid of polish residue as well as wax that has been "soaked in". I used it to clean two pads - one that was used to polish using Poorboy's world SSR1 and the other to wax the car using a creme wax from Chemical Guys. This product cleaned both pads equally well. An added advantage is, you can use a bucket to clean your pads with this product, so you don't have to worry about having wax residue in the washing machine!
I got this product in the Porter Cable starter package. This product works very well. Very easily cleans the pads. I have not used any other product for this purpose but have no reason to do so.
I cleaned my pads with hot water before and spent a great deal of time and water to get my pads looking "ok". After soaking my pads in this stuff, I am AMAZED. Not only did it clean the pad from this use, but it cleaned off stuff from previous use (over a month before). My white pad that looked grey from prior use was white again! I will never not have this stuff on hand to clean my pads. You need to get this stuff!
I just bought this product and it really works, and save me time and $ money
I've used this in the past with very good results so I decided to pick up a few more packets. I mix it with warm water as well and it does clean up the pads very well!

This stuff works. I used to just wash with hot water and try to get the pads clean. Now I just let the pads soak in the Snappy Clean Pad solution and the pads are so much cleaner and I have to spend a lot less time trying to get they clean.
