Lake Country HDO Blue Cutting Pad Reviews
Customer Reviews
This is one of my new to me favorite pads. I have used the blue Rupes foam pads and they are to corse for my liking. The lake country blue foam pad is completely different. Great cut for a foam pad and finishes great! This is a perfect one step pad. I really like it paired with either The Last Cut compound or Oberk SOLE
One of my most favorite pads ever. The HDO line should be in every detailers hands.
Best one yet
Used along with the headlight restoration kit and cleaned my lens to like new perfection,
Perfect does not heat much and makes an excellent finish goes very well with the Flex and griots g9 polisher!

Would they buy this item again? Yes
REALLY like this pad for the super hard paint on my 2000-2006 BMWs. I been using the 3.5" with Jescar correcting compound and a Griot's DA on my dark colored 2005 X5, and it will knock out just about any defect. That combo does leave some swirls that need to be cleaned up but this is workhorse like some others have said. I honestly can't believe it's still in one piece. Just like another reviewer said, I'm ordering another one to have on hand. I'd really like to try it on a long-throw however as it is a little slow on the Griot's.
HDO is an awesome line of pads from Lake Country. I use this pad for moderate to heavy defects with a quality compound and have yet to be disappointed with the results I get. I personally like to dampen the pad a little before use and tend to get better results out of this pad that way.
The cutting pad! Pros - cuts with ease top knotch. Cons - price but well worth it. Will but again and again.
I used to use a 3.5%u201D orange pad or a wool pad to clean the headlights. This blue one blows away all of the other pads. I used it to take off water spots as well. I had to buy a second pad just in case I lost my first one. This small pad does big jobs.
Love it! This pad cuts quick, love how this pad doesn't consume a lot of product. I'm able to obtain multiple uses out of it.
We use both the 6" and 3" blue pads - both work great. They do destroy themselves after a while but only if you are tough on them. Great pads, great cut.
The HD line of pads is our go to. Though the cutting ability isn't nearly as good as the Blue Rupes course pad, it makes up for it by lasting much longer.
LC has a winning work horse pad. Great cut and finishing.
This pad is great! Very comparable in cut and finish ability to the Rupes Blue pad.
Pros:
- Cuts Quickly!
- Finish is similar to a light cutting pad.
- Fantastic pad to pair with your favorite All in One product.
Cons:
- Like most corse pads, they deteriorate fairly faster than say an orange or black pad.
- Small learning curve to using this pad. (How much product to use, how much pressure)
- A bit pricey, but I'll keep buying more and more.
