Lake Country Black Fine Finishing Pad Reviews

I bought a big supply of Lake Country pads back in 2015 and the quality has been remarkable. So when I finally needed to replenish my supply, I bought them again. Unfortunately the quality has declined quite noticeably. The size of the pads, both circumference and thickness, were reduced. And even after using it only for one vehicle, you an see the wear and tear on the pad. Previously I've used the pads on 3 vehicles before ever noticing wear. Not quite sure what happened, but something definitely did!

I have the Lake Country Force line of pads, including the black pad. I assume the material of the Force black pad is similar to that of this reviewed pad. When applying liquid wax with the Force black pad, I found it absorbed much too much product, laying down relatively little on the panel. I wound up hand-applying the liquid wax, as I had no paste available. I suppose a Lake Country red pad would be better for applying liquid wax and a Lake Country black pad for paste wax. I note that my experience with the Lake Country Force black pad is similar to that of an earlier reviewer of this reviewed pad.

Nice pad, but did start throwing little tiny chunks out at 2000 rpm and Poorboy's World Liquid Natty's Blue Wax.

Used once so far. Excellent results with Meguiar's Ultimate Wax sealant. After cleaning, pad still looks new. Very pleased.

Used the black pad with Meguiar's 205 and was a great combination.

I like the results on my motorcycle parts using these LC yellow, pink and black pads on a GG 3" RO polisher, already ordered more.

Great for wax . That is liquid wax have not tried to apply a paste wax .the only thing I notice if you don't clen this pad really good it starts to get litlle clunks of dried pad and wax around the edges I have the 3 inch

Lc black pad works amazing with manzerna sf4500 ! It's a great pad for the last step polishing .it's my go to pad for final polish! No down side to this pad

Perfect wax or sealant applicator for use on well-maintained, polished cars. Super soft foam with no bite. If you're using cleaner-wax I'd suggest the Red pad for just a tad more bite, but this IS the once for typical pure-wax use. Be careful on plastic bumbers that the static bewteen this pad and the surface doesn't become to much. Apply more product and go slower if this happens.

I used this pad by hand and it was great. It was just the right size for my hand to apply a nice even coat of wax.

This finishing pad is really soft and almost plush-feeling and it applies my Menzerna PL sealant on my PC very easily. My only *slight* dislike is that it tends to really soak up product, so just be easy on how much you apply to the pad. Normally when I'm done machine-waxing my car, I'll go back over some areas and try to apply whatever sealant is left over in the pad. Quite a bit comes out onto the paint, too, but it's not enough to really waste any wax you decide to use unless you use too much in the first place.

Used with Chemical Guys Jet Seal 109 and had wonderful results.

The best finishing pad I have ever used. Brings out a very nice shine when used in conjunction with Poor Boys SSR1.

This is my favorite finishing pad out of all the ones out there. It's great for applying waxes/sealants as well.

Best finishing pad I've used by far. Meg's 9006 is pretty good but this LC black pad works wonders with finishing polishes to "jewel" the paint as a last step. Great pad!
