Griot's Garage G8 Mini Random Orbital Polisher Reviews

After using this for 3 years very regularly it has been a very good buffer. Highly recommend it. They have a lifetime warranty as well which is why I own 3 polishers from Griots Garage.

I purchased this to use on the bumpers of my vintage car. My 6 inch orbital is just too big to use with the bumpers on. However since it arrived, my car has been in the shop. Coincidence...I think not lol.

Seriously, if this works as good as my other Griots orbital it will be awesome.

Very light and versatil. Easy to work with right out of the box, the removable core is definitely a plus for storage. Good job griots

Upon receiving G8, I immediately put it to work. I used it to buff the cloudiness from my headlights on my car. It performed flawlessly. Next day, I used it polish the piano black trim pieces on my SUV. Again it worked flawlessly. Fits easy in the hand, lightweight and easy to maneuver. I'll be using it next to do the paint on my daughter's car. One of the best purchases for auto detailing I've made this year.

I was looking to replace my old Griot's standard 6" DA polisher, that I had converted to a 3" with a lake country backing plate, since it was quite tired. I thought "oh cool, theres a new and improved 3" polsher! I'll try that one!". Turns out it can't finish out any curved edges or body lines on a GM black vehicle. I have a back up old style griots polisher that my employee uses so I went over the same area and BOOM... haze and micro marring was removed. I believe it's due to only having an 8mm throw. It's just not a good machine for finishing polishing unfortunately...

This is a smooth running powerhouse for being a 3in polisher. Excellent for smaller hard to reach areas and does great on headlights

This is my first true 3" I've used it twice since my purchase and it has been solid. Great for around emblems and doorhandles. Lots of power and low vibrations.

This is a great tool, compared to the Adam's swirl killer mini this is better in every way. It is extremely smooth and very easy to swap between 3" and 2" backing plates multiple times throughout a job. I recently used this to perform correction on a 2016 Miata and it was the perfect size for the shape of that car. I love Griot's products and have been a customer for life.
