Flex XC 3401 VRG Starter Kit Reviews
Customer Reviews
I used to do show detailing when I was younger using a rotary and a variety of buffing pads including wool. Now that I'm older and not doing show prep, I find that the Flex is easier to use. I used it on my 2017 dark blue metallic Mercedes GLS450, and all I can say is wow! It looks factory fresh. I buffed it in stages, ending with Meguiars #7 and finished it with a coat of NexGen ceramic. Deep color and fantastic shine. Every car enthusiast should have a Flex, and Lake Country pads. Thanks DI!
I LOVE THIS BUFFER all i ever used was random orbital i threw away my random orbital this is the only buffer i will own other than a rotary it is so easy to use and the results with this are outstanding thanks flex and detailed image
very well made. This is the first time I ever held any buffer or polisher. Flex is very easy to use. There is absolutely no worries about burning your paint at all. I used it on my one car and I love it. Took me 2 days to finish my car about 8 hours to just polish the car using klasse AIO. but was well worth it. I have a ALCHEEPO buffer as well which pretty much does NOTHING. Flex on the other hand is a very powerfull machine. I have applied a lot of pressure on this at certain places on my car and it seems to work just fine. If you are in a market to buy a buffer. This is it. And for those who say a buffer is a buffer... so why spend so much money.. oh well you havent baught a Flex yet :)

As soon as you pick it up, you can tell this is a high-quality power tool. Very well balanced and easy to use. With the right polish, the majority of paint imperfections come out with ease. Comes with a great starter selection of pads.

The flex is a well made tool. It is also very quiet and does a nice job. It is a nice combo of rotary/DA all in one.

Seems to be a very well made tool now that the backing plate issue has been resolved. I am not a pro and have no rotary experience so I cannot comment to performance in regards to a rotary, but when compared to the venerable Porter Cable 7424, all I can say is wow. I did a full paint correction on a friends car, and polish time was cut by more than half from what I expect it would have been with the pc. For all those weekend warriors looking for an easy to use machine with nice correction ability, this is it.

Excellent tool. Very well made and balanced. I've had this for one week now and have used it on two vehicles, no problems. Unit does get a bit warm, but that seems to be normal operation when I've compared it to another flex. I've performed a side by side test with a rotary and could not tell a difference on "normal" swirls. Heavy swirls need a bit more than the flex can do, but that is not a fault, just a design limitation. Very, very happy with my purchase, and you can't beat the Lake Country pads, great selection.
