The Elcometer 456 Coating Thickness Gauge allows you to provide an indication of the overall condition and thickness of your paintwork! When you are looking at your paint, you can always easily see swirls, oxidation and other ugly imperfections that take away from the overall look of the vehicle. You hate the look and you break out your polisher, pads, and compound, ready to get to work, however, do you really know how thick the clear coat on that area is? Do you know if the car has been repainted, repaired, corrected multiple times, and how much clear coat is left? The naked eye can not give you these measurements, but the 456 Coating Thickness Gauge can! The uniqueness of this gauge is due to the available wide range of probes, providing you with a greater coating thickness measurement flexibility on metal substrates. The 456 measures on smooth, rough, thin and curved surfaces to +-1% in accordance with National & International Standards. You can store up to 150,000 readings in 2,500 batches and measure up to 31mm (1,200 mils) of coating on metal substrates with USB and Bluetooth data output. When using the large buttons and color LCD screen makes readings easy to see and the reliability and two year manufacturer warranty will have this unit working for years to come.
