Nextzett Cockpit Premium Reviews
Professional Detailer Reviews
Nextzett Cockpit Premium is a tailor-made all-around interior cleaner that will give you peace of mind that you are not damaging your or anyone's car... It cleans better than some may think for a product marketed for gentleness and overall safety.
A silicone-free and shine-free interior dashboard and trim cleaner, Cockpit Premium was unique at the time when the shiny "Armor All look" was the norm for interior trim. The concept of a shine-free interior wasn't quickly accepted but has become the norm over the years. Cockpit Premium is suitable for use on the dashboard, audio and navigation screens, instrument gauges, armrests, and any clear or colored plastic, vinyl, rubber, or leather trim. It repels dust and protects interior surfaces from fading due to heat and UV exposure.
Customer Reviews
Is the only product I know that leaves no gloss-finish and my car interiors looks always like new.
Nextzett Cockpit Premium is tailored well for interior detailing, has a masculine smell haven't had an issue with residue. Recommend.
While this product isn't bad, its lack of versatility undermines its good qualities. As for pros, this stuff really does smell great. It's a potent but inoffensive fresh citrus scent that lingers just long enough, and leaves a perfectly matte finish on plastic and does OK with cleaning. However, this product is not as versatile as other interior quick cleaners (like Meguiar's) as it does not work well on non-matte interior surfaces. When cleaning glossy/metal trim it leaves streaks and smudges, and does not have enough lubricity to be used on sensitive surfaces such as piano black plastic.
The instructions state that this product is for use on screens and plastic trim, but Nextzett's own plastic cleaner does a much better job at cleaning & renewing plastic (best plastic cleaner I've ever used) and works well on smells almost exactly the same. For a "cockpit cleaner", this needs to be useful on more than just matte plastic and screens. I'd skip this and get their plastic cleaner and a more versatile interior cleaner.

This stuff is great for my faceshields on my motorcycle helmets!! Cuts through the bugs & leaves the shield clean & shine! A 16oz Plexus aerosol can cost over $27! You can't get all of it out like your brand.
I finally tried this, and am very happy with it. Not greasy or overly shiny. Will buy this again.
This product has good cleaning power, leaves behind pleasant citrusy smell, but more importantly it leaves the surface with the perfect matte finish, no residue and no sheen, just a nice clean surface.

This stuff is fantastic. It cleans so, so well, while being a one-step product. I think Gyeon Vinyl Cleaner might be better when the surface is disgusting, but then, of course, you need to follow up with Gyeon Preserve. When the car you're doing is not gross, Cockpit Premium is your best bet. I was using Sonax Plastic Care for a while, but I don't like too shiny or greasy of a surface so I always have to go back afterward. And just feel Cockpit Premium is a better cleaner.
This is my 2nd Bottle, it works well & smells decent.
I use this on my dash, door panel plastics, carbon fiber trim, and the plastics under the hood. It does a fantastic job of leaving going on and wiping off easily. Leaves a smooth and satin look to all materials applied to. Smell reminds me of a citrus peel. I typically use this to clean my dash and plastics before applying my Gtechniq C6 guard. Solid product.
This stuff is awesome, does a great job cleaning and leave behind a nice subtle coating of protection. Will def be buying more when it runs out!

I just bought this product to see how much I would like it. I have a detailing business and I am always looking for products that work great with out a lot of work. This is a great product as all around for the interior. It cleans with a nice smell and finish to it.
This is an exceptional product. I am not a fan of that shiny look and always avoid products that give that finish. This product has a nice and light citrus fragrance along with a wonderful matte finish that is left behind. I have used it on the dash, seats center console and all surfaces seem to really pop now. It really finishes up a detail nicely. I will likely use this product moving forward on all future vehicles.
I used to use Lexol on my other car but it was a little more glossy than I preferred and it wasn't really a cleaner. I read all of the reviews as well as forum comments for Nextzett Cockpit Premium and since it has more of a matte finish and is water based, I gave it a try. I am very happy with the results; the finish is non-glossy and the smell is pleasant. I also like the fact that it is made in Germany as I am using it on my Porsche.
Smells citrusy. I like it, but prefer Wolfgang Vinyl Rubber Protectant.
Great product. I remember the original Einszett Cockpit Premium which was great for auto interiors and electronic equipment (dash, nav screens, stereo etc...) This one does the same thing.
I've been using this stuff for years back in the 1z Einszett days. So glad that Nextzett took over this exceptional product line. Love the smell of this stuff and the fact that it leaves a nice matte finish instead of a gloss. Great on the dash as you won't get any glare. I highly recommend Cockpit Premium!
Seems to work pretty good. I used 303 before, it does not seem to attract dust and has a nice subtle look to it. It has only been on my vehicle for about 3 weeks, so far so good.
I was using 303 Aerospace after watching the comparison video above and liked the darker finish, but had an issue with it leaving streaks and stuff if water got on it in the rain or something. Decided to try this and I'm in love. Leaves a finish that just feels clean and not slippery or anything like the 303 was. I feel comfortable using this on clients steering wheels.
I have used about 20 brands of cleaner this is by far the best
This is absolutely my favorite product. Much better than aerospace 303.
This is a great cleaner/dressing if you're looking to keep the original look of your interior. It is not glossy, so if you're looking for shine you will need to find another product. I use this on the interior of my M235i and it works great.
Best interior cleaner I have used in 20 years of monkeying with cars. Cleans well, does NOT leave any sort of residue or finish and has a very pleasant smell. The product also seems to have some sort of anti-static properties, though I am not sure.
This is one of my favorite interior cleaning products! Works amazing on all of your plastic surfaces. This will leave your carbon fiber, smooth plastics and in dash screens completely smudge free. I am always impressed with the cleaning results as well. Leaves a matte finish with a pleasent lemon scent. I highly recommend.
Used on dash, door panels, and all other interior vinyl and plastics. Wiped on and off easily and left no streaks. It left the black interior looking really nice; cleaner, a bit deeper black and no shine. Just what I was looking for. A quick wipe down every 2 weeks or so keeps my 5 year old interior looking brand new. Leaves an okay clean, but not chemical, odor that is gone by the next day.
I've added Einszett Cockpit Premium to my detailing arsenal and have found it to outperform far better than anticipated. I use it on all of the vinyl and plastic areas of the interior and am very pleased with its matte finish. Outside of the UV and a scent that is all right, the touch is totally non-greasy, which truly makes this product a winner and must-have.
Great for cleaning everything inside the car. Leaves a nice matte finish, not shiny or greasy. Will definitely buy more.
IZ Cockpit is by far the very best product out there for cleaning dashes and other interior parts without a shine or grease remainder. I have used this product for years and will continue
Cleaned well and kept the finish matte. Easy to use.
Great product. I'm lucky 99% of my customers caars are new or like new. So the int work is quite easy. This product is excellent for what I use it for. I will not use anything else.
First purchase got 2 bottles, works well smells great I feel more confident with this than using a apc. When it's time I will pop for the 5 liter jug.
Have been using this product for over 2 years after first learning about it here on Detailed Image. As a car-guy and "pro-sumer" of detailing products and equipment, this is my undisputed choice for interior cleaning of plastics and vinyl. I cannot emphasize how much I cannot stand greasy, cheap-looking interior surfaces due to cheap products, and 1Z Cockpit works great.
Clean scent, very minimal and inconspicuous after an hour. As another poster had said, it works like it was designed for a German car.

I've used this on two cars. One is my eight month old CRZ and the other is my 22 year old MR2. On the CRZ I used it on all the plastic including touch screen and it did a great job of cleaning the surfaces and leaving them looking like new. Most of the plastic on these newer cars is hard plastic. My MR2 has a lot of softer plastic and over 20 years of good quality dressing. The Einszett took off all the old dressing and dirt. I started with 2 yellow MF towels and they ended up gray. Result - clean and looking like new - nice scent too.
IZ cockpit premium is quality stuff. It sprays great and wipes down nicely. I love the fresh clean scent and great matte finish it leaves behind. I did my wifes car interior with it and she also loved the subtle scent. She also doesn't like a shiny finish so this product is perfect. I will always have this in my arsenal either for a quick wipe down or full blown interior detail! Highly recommended!
Worked on a "clean" 96 honda civic interior, sprayed liberal amount, let it sit for 30 sec, agitated with brush, wipe off with a towel, WOW i needed two towels, it was that dirty. Took some time but that is because car was really dirty, i ended up putting a dressing on top of it, but even by itself it leaves a nice, satin, clean look!
Great product....cleaned the tan interior of my car very well. Also used it on my leather steering wheel and couldn't believe the amount of dirt and oil it removed! Just a word of advice, it doesn't leave any kind of gloss behind.
I used this on a second-hand Mercedes E-class with black interior that appears to have been smothered in that nasty vinyl protectant that beings with the letter A and ends in "all." There was a white residue that not even a very spare application of warm water and dawn dish detergent could get out. The dash was also under a hot Texas sun its entire life, so it was hard and in need of emergency corrective measures - hence the Dawn (even though this could strip the oils from the vinyl, I was desperate). Then one day I say this Einszett Cockpit Premium product on sale at DI and I gave it a shot. This is by far, the BEST interior cleaner. Even though I'm not sold on the scent, whatever it is, I AM sold on the cleaning ability. At first, I was getting good results with a moderate spray and a normal mf towel wipedown. However, I found FANTASTIC results when using a liberal spray, then a 30 second dwell, followed by a mf towel wipedown, as indicated on the product label. To date, the dash has no more white residue and the soft-touch dense foam backing can be felt, meaning that the vinyl is now pliable again. I had a scare on a GPS screen of another Merc, but found that I was not using enough product. It also helps to have several mf towels on hand, especially when you are doing a wipedown on a convertible.
The best. I also use it to keep my plastic tile covered garage floor spic and span.

After all the interior products I've used in the past, this is by the far the best one! No residue whatsoever and leaves a very nice satin finish. It's also great on the nav screen and other plastic/aluminum interior trim. Perfect for BMW dash! The only thing i don't like is the smell. It's not bad at all but just not for me.
Simply the best interior cleaner on the market!!!
2009 BMW 328i Convertible: makes radio and steering wheel look like matte factory finish...whether or not it is actually clean or just a chemical reaction on the plastic is anyone's guess. I like the look. However, don't use it on the black dashboard nor the black upper part of the window interior above the armrest. You may get strange looking variations on the finish. For the other hard plastic parts, I didn't notice a big improvement, but boy...that radio looks factory new as does the steering wheel.
Would I buy this again...hesitatingly yes.

I have used Poorboy's Natural Look and the 303 product on my interiors. I liked the matte appearance and lemon scent. The car I used this on is 12 years old and looked like new when I finished. Great product for interiors.
Quite pleased with the product for finish touch-up on interior trim and dash. Will even work on matte black interiors for a nice look.
This is a great product. True to its word, it leaves the interior in factory like state. It has this very deep, clean look without being shiny. Lasts a good amount of time as well.
Awesome product period! Will renew restore or keep the interior in best condition, it makes brand new interiors pop and old ones look new, smells great; this is my 3rd bottle! Perfect for the Lexus navigation screen cleaning!!
Great product, used it on my whole interior!
Don't know of a better all purpose interior cleaner out there than this one. Works on pretty much all interior surfaces. From the dash to carbon fiber inserts to plastics and trim. Even used it on my home LCD TV screens and it did a better streak free job than my Monster Cleaner product. No haziness or streaking.
I use this on BMW leatherette. Leaves it matte and oem look.Excellent cleaner and deodorizer. For stubborn stains, let it sit a few seconds. The smell is a mild pine-sol-ish; I like it actually. I am just going to pull the trigger on the $140 bottle after the sprayer runs outs.

Love this stuff for light-to-moderate interior cleaning and conditioning. It works on Plastic, Vinyl and Leather and Navigation panels. It cleans and leaves a great matte "factory" finish on all surfaces. I recently got the 10 Liter jug and the smell has changed to a decent citrus smell from the "what is that?" smell.
This product is very effective and leaves behind a very " just cleaned" smell and feel.
Seems to clean well. Didn't leave behind any residue. Odd smell--not bad really--just odd.
My Ford Edge has an 8" LCD screen and piano black center stack. Both highly attract finger prints. I have 4 oz spray bottle in my glove box filled with 1Z with a microfiber towel. While at a stop light, or in park, I can easily whip this out and make it look all new again. I even use it at home to clean my glasses and loptop screens (buy some 4 oz bottles too, they come in handy).
For interior plastics, rubber, vinyl, and pretty much any hard surface, it gets no better. I agree with criticism of the scent, but it dissipates very quickly. I love the matte finish, the ability to repel dust, and the ease of use.
I made the mistake of cleaning the steering wheel of my 328i with a protectant. BIG mistake. It looked and felt slippery. Rather than hit it with an APC, I reached for my 1z Cockpit Premium to undo the damage. I sprayed 1-2 mists on a clean microfiber (don't spray the wheel directly to avoid a big mess) while *outside* the car, then gently rubbed every bit of the leather steering wheel cover 2x. Boom! It was back to the grippy, matte condition before the Vinylex.
Overall, I think this is a 'mild' cleaner, not heavy duty that is good to have in my arsenal for selective uses. Why I didn't use it or my Meg's Quick Interior Detailer the first time......not sure.

I really don't like the smell of this product for some reason. It is not because it smells like something foul, but I just don't want the smell (which I cannot articulate) in my car. I usually don't mind the odor that various cleaners and conditioners give off. I went through about half a bottle and then switched back to the 303 twins (Aerospace Protectant and Cleaner), which I prefer by a hefty margin. Cleaning wise, the 1Z Cockpit is on par with the 303 cleaner in the dilution I use on interiors (3:1), although it doesn't finish as well as Aerospace Protectant.
Got to have this in your detailing supplies it does everything I thought and more. I use it to clean my laptops and other misc.
Interesting product. It seems to take my dash back to factory new. It is hard to determine the results because my car is a 2009 and sits in the garage. I plan on trying with my 4 year old car next month.
I really liked using this product. It went on easily and came off without leaving streaks. I used it on the radio and GPS screen and well as the DVD screen in the back. I liked the new car smell it left.
If cleaning Sat/Nav screens worry you, then I highly recommend this product. Safely cleans all surfaces without leaving residue or a streaky look. Does a great job of cleaning plastic interior surfaces as well.
This product worked better than I expected it to. Clean the Nav screen on my 06 TL perfect. The dash area along with interior panels never looked better.
I use this product exclusively on my dashboard. I really love how it leaves a matte (no shine) finish. Makes the car look brand new. Smell is a non-issue, smells nice then dissipates. Highly recommended if you want your dash area to look factory-new.
This stuff is fantastic! Super easy to use....no residue or streaks....and doesn't leave that shiny after look! Great on navi screens and instrument clusters. I will never use anything else. Great smell too
I usually use MG quick interior detailer. 1Z cockpit premium was on sale, so I wanted to try it. I think it has more ability to clean than MG QID, but smells much stronger. The smell is more "industrial" than the MG QID. I tried using it to clean my (cooled down) LCD TV and home stereo and it works great just like MG QID.
Very easy to use with a matte finish. Works great on plastic. Smell is not that bad, goes away quickly. Excellent product!
THIS IS my go to product for the people that don't like a shiny finish. it smells a bit strong, but not overwhelming. the finish can be described as a nice satin/matte, not overly shiny and not a dust magnet. thumbs up from my view.
I used the cockpit cleaner for the first time the other day. Perfect! The bottle is distinctive, the sprayer is exceedingly high quality, and the results are great. It even smells good. No streaking or residue left behind, even cuts through oils and grease.
Love this product. Great for regular use. Cleans screens and plastics easily. Scent is a touch strong, but very clean and fresh smelling.
works very well
Great product, doesnt work AS WELL on glass but for plastics it works great. Smell isnt the best, kinda chemically smell. I still prefer Poor Boy Natural Look.
Excellent product. No shine, no grease. Would definitely buy again.
This is another compliment to their Deep Plastic Cleaner, and I really like this too.
It works better on less dirty plastic finishes, and does wonders to Nav screens, etc., as well. Also smells great, and leaves a nice sheen that is not plastic-like or oily, greasy, etc.. It makes my work look professionally detailed which is what I want, each and every time.. This and their Deep Clean Plastic are the two I reach for the most out of all the APC's I have, and I have alot of good ones too..
These Einzett products smell like and work like they were designed for German cars anyway..
