When doing coatings, I remove the bottle inserts and use pipettes, giving me more control over the distribution of the product. Also, they fit most glass coating bottles, providing a tighter seal and some protection against accidental spills. Reseal and store unused coatings with the original top, as it will crystalize within the pipette ruining whatever coating is left.
