Polishing is the detailing step where you actually remove the swirls, oxidation and ultra fine scratches for good and restore that like-new shine again! Polishing can be the most impactful step in the detailing process because it creates an optically clear surface so you get that deep shine back where as the sealant, wax, or coating can only enhance the way the paint already looks. To eliminate these imperfections safely and permanently you want to polish the surface starting with a less aggressive polish and using more aggressive polishes as needed.
