This is the OG in the world of wax!

This an amazing wax that is one half of an outstanding duo, when coupled with Jescar Power Lock + paint sealant. I made this purchase for a friend so that he can experience the best car wax on the market.
As mentioned by many over the years the application process of Collinite waxes varies. I can tell you from experience the directions on the bottle from the manufacturer are not how I would go about using it. The 2'x2' section at a time method applies to their paste waxss than come in tins, but not 845. I apply it like most waxes, and that's to the entire vehicle. I have let 845 sit for over an hour before and have had zero issues removing it with a towel and mild pressure. I will say this as well from experience, Collinite waxes don't seem to like humid days. Get your wax on before the peak of summer so that won't be a concern. The gloss of 845 rivals their other waxes, even their "luxary" 915. Seems to last longer than that one as well. This product has stood the test of time and thanks to nostalgic diehards like myself and others who use 845, it will continue to do so.
I used this for finishing in conjunction with Car Pro Reflect and Tescar Power Lock+. I used a machine
for the Reflect and hand polished the other two. All were very easy to work with, I made a point of using very little product with all of them, especially with the Collinite. Now it's wait and see how it holds up. Very satisfied.

I've tried many waxes over the years and always go back to C845. I don't use wax often, but when I do, it is this stuff. I use it as a topper over AIO polish and on some older single stage paint. A little bit goes a LONG way.

My favorite carnauba based wax. A little goes a long way. Warm awesome glow and shine.
I've been there, done that, try this, try that, newest, latest, greatest, blah blah blah, and I always end up coming back to this, wax. Nuff said.
What can I say that hasn't already been said about this great product. Just the fact that it has been around for so long tells you how great it is. I have been using Collinite 845 for several years and will continue to do so. When using this product my saying is "when you think you have used too little product...use even less!" Love Collinite 845!

I've spent thousands NOT hundreds on every single sealant, wax, newer polymer tech items from every maker domestically and overseas to protect my vehicles from the horrid Midwest salt and weather in general. Long story short if this product was 500 a bottle it would be worth every cent and this is the truth. I'm upset I didn't come across this years ago but if you read the history of this product and what it was initially manufactured for you'll fully understand why it's second to none. The application and removal is beginner level stuff but the final result is professional beyond even the highest priced detail shops can offer. I'm the only vehicle with mirror glass shine and ZERO salt, snow, debris on the road. 3 F350 Ford business vehicles, 911 Carrera, 2007 Dodge Viper and wife's Lexus GX SUV all are driven on heavy road salt conditions(the latter when roads are clear) my 22 year old XJ Cherokee which was my first vehicle purchase out of High School now has 503k miles and because of this unmatched product she hasn't an ounce of rust on paint which is simply unheard of especially in the harsh Midwest. This will undoubtedly be the last product to ever hit your shelf.
845 is awesome. Apply a thin coat or you'll have trouble buffing off. Very easy to apply by hand or by DA. I let it warm up in the sun a little bit beforehand just to make it easier. It only took a little per car so I'm sure the bottle will last. Good durability, good beading, and a nice carnauba glow.
This is hands down the best wax you can buy at this price point. The application is extremely easy and provides a deep glow for quite a while. A good tip for easy application is to purchase a trigger spray nozzle for the bottle and to heat it up in warm water or direct sunlight to get the wax to a liquid state. Then you can spray it onto the surface for quicker and easier use.
Old school is the way to go! Millennials don't have a chance inventing something better than this. I have been using this since the late 70's.... I'm still young ! This is by far the best wax you can purchase and the best place to get it from. Hands down.
You knw the phrase; "If it aint broke, don't fix it"? This is a great example! This product is nearly 100 years old & is my go to Carnauba Sealant! It's thicker than I originally anticipated, so I warm it up & apply via a sprayer. 2 coats (on prepped paint) can give a year or more of protection & beading! If a client doesn't want to spend the money on a 1 year Ceramic coat, then this is my answer. The gloss is incredible as well. This will always be in my arsenal, for any finish.
Love this product! Applies and buffs off easily by hand. I waxed my GMC Yukon in a little over an hour, start to finish. Yea!
Evil-smelling, reasonably priced, and extremely effective. Used at the detailing shop where I worked a few years ago, and I've yet to come across a wax at the same price that works so well. I use it on top of the Klasse sealant I apply twice a year. Collinite is essential in the fight against the vast amounts of road salt here in Massachusetts.
I use 845 as a topper for sealants. It is like a "suit of armor" on paint finishes.
I warm it up in hot water to get it to "ungel" and have a sprayer head on my bottle. A spray ot two on an applicator pad goes a long way.

Used on Boat, Bike, Truck, and car. All around easy for anyone to use and provides a solid layer of protection. Sprayed on a sealer afterwards, but not needed.
First time user of this product. I found it to be very easy to apply and remove.I was able to do an f150 supercrew and a Lexus rx350. Both vehicles still bead water 2 weeks after application in 90 heat. Will definitely use again.
Used Collinite 845 wax for the first time on my original paint 1997 BMW M3 and was immediately impressed. After washing my car, applied the wax using a Gtechniq AP3 soft foam applicator pad in direct sunlight on a 75 degree day. Wax applied easily, dried to a haze in 3-5 minutes, then removed easily using a microfiber towel, leaving very little "wax" dust. Very nice gloss enhanced the look of the BMW's silver paint. While in the bottle, before use, the wax appears to be highly viscous and must be heated up to liquefy. I placed the bottle on the car's wiperblade, in direct sunlight, for about 10 minutes prior to application. I would not recommend the Gtechniq pad for application of this wax because the pad is too porous, allowing wax to seep through to the pad's hand-held side.
I've been using Collinite Insulator 845 for quite some time. Its so easy to apply and just as easy to remove leaving a shine that's truly unbelievable. I waxed my car 6months ago and its still very shinny and the Collinite 845 protection from acid rain and etc. is making my life easier. I would recommend this product to anyone that owns a car, boat and basically anything that needs to be waxed. Kudo's to the person that came up with this product. Will never use anything else but this. Thank you !!!!!
Outstanding product. A very little goes a looong way. It will not clean, like a cleaner wax. Your surface must be clean! One bottle did 9 cars and a 32 ft boat and I still have some left over, even after having the bottle tip over and spill some. On the boat I actually did 2 coats on one side, buffing of the first coat of course, and the shine was spectacular. Best of all, it lasted for the entire season. I am not kidding! I would be happy to do a commercial for the collinite folks. The stuff is easy to put on and take off. Just don't leave it on too long.
You should also know that collinite 845 is temperature dependent. When it is thick it allows me to put on a tiny amount which goes a long way (you just shake the bottle and squeeze). If you gently warm the container it will liquify entirely and may use too much. It would be nice if the collinite people would put a flip top cap on the top to make it more user friendly.

Used this wax on commercial vehicles - box trucks, bucket trucks and Sprinters. Works great and makes them shine.

I've used Pinnacle Souveran, ChemGuys 50/50, DodoJuice Blue Velvet, and Meguiar's Ultimate, and I can honestly say that Collinite 845 will give you just as good a finish, last longer, and bead water better. If you have a daily driver use Collinite and save yourself lots of money. Does not evaporate in the summer heat on a black car, and gives excellent water protection in the winter. Applies easy - I do a Nissan SUV in 30 minutes - just don't let sit too long.
Used it once and a little goes a long way. I applied one coat over two coats of sealant and the paint has more depth than the sealant alone. i was very impressed with how easy it applies and buffs off.
This is great stuff! I live in Arizona and need all the protection (due to the extreme Sun) I can get!
Maybe I got a bad batch... came out like a tube of jelly in extruded globs thru the top of the bottle, unless I got a bad batch, I wouldn't use it again

The exotic waxes costing an arm and a leg are being outdone by a liquid wax that costs less than $20!! Collinite 845 wax topped by Poorboy's EX-P sealant can have your vehicle looking as good as anything else you can put on your car costing much more.
I will probably never buy another wax for as long as I detail my own cars. Simply put this wax is the best that I have ever used...Granted I've never used any of the uber expensive designer waxes and I don't plan to. Why pay $200 for car wax when there's Collinite #845 for $18.00??? This stuff beads water like nobody's business. I know the protection is there. My car stays clean longer using this stuff...I'm sold!
I do wish they would include a dispenser type of tip on the bottle though.

The best old school wax there is. I have used a lot of wax over the years but I like this stuff.
This stuff is amazing. The best wax I've used to date, even compared to waxes double its price. A little goes a long way, so be sure to put it on in thin layers, as too much will make it difficult to buff off. So far I've seen 4 months of protection on my personal car, and I haven't been able to maintain it nearly as much as I'd like to. I wouldn't be surprised at all to see 6-8 months of protection with proper maintenece washes.
I have used this product for over 20 years, a friend gave me some to try and have bought and used ever since. Absolutely the best.
great product
Well what can I say this is a very great product I used meguiars mirror glaze and collinite 845 and you won't ever used another product...wet shine look apply two coats if you want a extreme wet shine
I put down "no" as I'm not sure I'd use this again. I've been used to Meguiar's Gold Class liquid and paste wax for the last 15 years. I have zero complaints with Gold Class.
Upon applying the Collinite product to my 03 black Silverado 2500HD, water does not bead two weeks after application, and after only one washing. The paint no longer feels slick. I used a white pad and my 7424XP for application. The product just does not seem to last.

I use Collintie 845 on my candy white VW GTI after applying Blackfire Wet Diamond. These two products compliment each other very well. It is best to warm up the wax to a liquid so that it is easy to use. I apply it using my PC DA on a blue finishing pad. A little goes a long way. I have since waxed three cars and spilled a bit of it on my garage floor. I still have another 8 cars worth of wax left. Long lasting protection during this current cold PA winter. i will forever keep this product in my arsenal.
This is a great product. Spreads well. Not much is needed during application process. If you use it in cooler temps (50 degrees fahrenheit or below) the process will take longer. Nice shine and seems to be durable. Detailed Image surprised me with the quick delivery. About to put in another order. If would be good to have larger quantities available since I do fleet services.

Good prooduct a little goes a long way . Gives a nice slick shine.
I have used this product for years. I put a coat of pure was on first and then the collinite over they wax and it will last at least 6 months to a year and will still shine.
very easy to apply haven't yet have it on car to know durability
Very impressive wax. Doesn't take much, goes on easy, doesn't leave ugly residue on unpainted surfaces and leaves a brilliant shine. I don't know the durability yet, but the water can't hang on to my car with even a the slightest angling of the surface.

Used this now in harsh upstate NY for four years and it lasts amazingly long. I wax twice a year and this stuff just lasts and lasts and lasts. Excellent product. Definitely heat it up in hot water before you use it, and shake vigorously to get everything mixed together before applying.
Best product I've purchased for vehicle care! One bottle did an F150 4X, three autos and one SUV-for less than $20. Prep the surface well, remove all water spots and apply 845 in a thin coat. will last at least 5-6 months as identified by water-beading. For an even deeper shine, apply a quality wax on top of 845, but it's not necessary. Apply only in shade on a cool surface. Vehicles will look 'just washed' even after a drive in the rain.
The no comments above makes me realize that the owners may not have read the blogs on this. The comment of a glob of jelly: I once thought that I had a bad batch...until I let it warm for awhile in the sun (you can also put it in the microwave), and shake well! The other comment that it lacks a shine after a single wash: This is not really a 'wax' but a Sealer. Put it on a section thin (I get 5-6 applications on my F150 truck, per bottle!), then wipe off within 10 minutes, no longer! Then use the Collinite 476 Wax. Make sure the vehicle is cool and out of the sun It lasts up to 6 months on my vehicle in the Midwest. When it rains, the dirt just slides off the surface and it looks like I just washed it! This is a great product that I've even recommended to total strangers when I see them washing their vehicle! And at less than $20.

All I can say is wow. The product was amazing. After washing my vehicle and drying I placed the bottle in hot water to begin the process to mix the product into a thin liquid. The heat from the warm water melted the wax into the solvents that are in the bottle. Then shook the bottle until I got a thin consistency. Once this was done I then proceeded to prime my CCS foam Lake Country Pad 5.5" red pad. Once primed I put 4 dime sized product on the pad and proceeded to application of the product on speed 3 of my flex 3401 dual action polisher. I applied the wax to the complete vehicle. Applying only minimal product to,the pad as needed. I let the product sit on the vehicle for 30 minutes from the start of the application. I performed a swipe test and got a nice shine line from the swipe test. I proceeded to remove the hazed over wax with a soft microfiber towel buffing to a fine shine. All I can say that a little product goes a long way. Use about 2 oz of product to do entire vehicle.
I will be doing a complete detail on this vehicle over the Thanksgiving weekend. On this detail it will include a two bucket was, clay, two bucket was , polish, sealant, and two coats of Collinite 845.
One good thing was the discount that I got when I purchased the product from Detailed Image.

A little harder to remove than 476 but seems to last just as long. Just be sure to only apply a little to the pad as a little goes a long way.
