Chemical Guys Bare Bones Undercarriage Spray Reviews
Customer Reviews
Absolutely awesome! I used it inside the salon of the car on vinyl surfaces-looks beautiful, just as nice as on the outside plastic protective trims. An awesome product! Thank you for making it and Rocco guys for recommending it.
Great product. Was using foaming tire dressing to treat shell wells, left them greasy and shining. This product eliminated all of that. It's true to advertising, makes wheel wells disappear. Leaves a fresh from the factory matte finish.
As other reviewers stated it is a great product to dress wheel wells! Chemical guys bottles suck though. Sprayer broke after a few sprays. Couldn't get top off. Has to cut top off and dump into my own bottle!
Love this stuff. I use it to clean up in my wheel wells and on my suspension components. Cuts through brake dust and grease and leaves a nice shine.
Great product for undercarriage and inner fenderwells, I use this product DEAD last after I've cleaned everything and waiting on customer to get here to pick there vehicle up. Product lasts a pretty decent amount of time
This is a great undercarriage dressing. I used it on my 4 wheeler and Tundra. Makes the wheel wells disappear and makes a detailed vehicle look complete.
Works well & makes the under carriage look great.
Works well and makes the under carriage look great.
This stuff makes your under carriage and wheel wells look new. Smells like grape! Awesome stuff.
Absolutely awesome product. Cleaned out my wheel wells and undercarriage with P21S and then applied this great smelling stuff and after 2 weeks it still looks new. I cant believe how well its holding up to everyday driving and road dirt.
First time buying and I love it. I spray it on a cleaning rag and wipe it on. After one week I was able to spray the dirt from under my car without having to reapply.
I gave this a shot to speed up my detailing time. I wash my Tundra at least biweekly sometimes weekly. It took me 6-7 hours inside and out before this product. Rather than spend 15 minutes per wheel well this stuff cut it down to 2-3 minutes tops. My first time I just sprayed it and walked away. I was skeptical that it would smooth out but amazingly it did! Although I was happy with the outcome of leaving it alone the second time I applied it I wiped it down a bit and liked the results even more. It really does make the residual blemishes or spots of dried dirt disappear allowing me to be less fussy about washing the wheel wells to perfection. This product does speed up my detailing time and adds that final touch to your work. It smells like grape awesomeness. Overspray on driveway is ULTRA SLIPPERY! Must clean up with a degreaser after using or you WILL take a wipe out. Overall great buy!
Great stuff! It's Chemical guys of course! Smells great and makes the undercarriage look almost invisible! Make sure you clean before use with an APC! Real easy to use!
I use this with an Optimimun spary gun, like a undercoating gun to spray wheel wells and under hood.
Wow amazing results in little time customers love the blacked out look.

Not a spray and walk away product. Very thick. Works great if wiped on. Leaves a greasy feel on everything though. Seems to last a while. For some reason mine is purple and smells like grape bubble gum not blue like pictured. New formula perhaps? Does a very nice job on my trucks wheel wells and frame when used correctly. A little bit goes a LONG way. I am going to try some other things but if I don't find a product that works better I will go back to this.

finicky product. should really be wiped down instead of just sprayed on. Tons of silicone in this product, and it smells like a NYC carwash. potent smell, sticky, runny (if not buffed down), and will turn your driveway into a slippery deathtrap (be careful if you use it where children or old folks walk, because its very slippery). At the same time, this product is effective if you can go out of your way to avoid all of those shortcomings that I listed. It turns the wells black, and lasts through rain and carwash's. A better option would be to use 1z vinyl-rubber protection for carwash and rain resistant protection and darkening of your wheelwells. Take notice of the material of your rear wheelwells. most new cars are now coming with a fiber material in the rear to cut costs and avoid cracking over time. if you have this material in your wells, dont bother using any products on it, as the material will not take well to any protectants, as its impossible to spread anything effectively on the fiber material.
I bought this stuff last year, small 16oz, to see if it worked. Tried it and BAM (sorry Emeril) but the stuff is the best! The stuff last year did not have the grape sent which I like. I had tried Optimum Tire and CG liquid Extreme (pain to apply) on the wheel wells and they worked okay. But this stuff I love. So I bought a gallon of it. One app does last for weeks and completes a detail. People who are picky will love the way it looks. Just spray and do another task (LSP, QD etc). No issues with dirt etc on normal street roads...Would buy it again.

This stuff sucks!!! Maybe on your wheel wells or a plastic surface ...but stay away from metal frame,,leaf springs,,etc...I used it like described by c-guys on my 2008 gmc sierra,3500 hd crewcab ,longbed,,so thats a lotta undercarriage!!! The stuff attracted dirt like a magnet & then turned into a thick goo I had to steam clean off!! Just my experiance with it..Beware!! Only c-guy product i've tried & didn't like!! The c-guys website deleted my review within 4hrs after leaving it...what a joke!!!!
I have purchased this product 2 times. I have also used Adams and Groit's undercarriage sprays. They all smell good. The product that really has the durability and the best natural look that I was after was the Bare Bones by Chemical Guy's. My choice for undercarriage dressing!
I bought a gallon of this stuff, and since then I have been using it so often I might just order another. Wheel wells, undercarriage, under the bonnet, door seals, splash panels...these parts are typically the hardest to clean and keep that way.
With this product, it's as easy as spray and walk away. Don't like the shine? Wipe once, no shine, no grime, no grease. And a pleasant smell!

Used this for my engine bay detail. It was great to see all that filth washing away!
I ordered a 16 oz. bottle and used it once. The next week I ordered a gallon, that should say it all. a must for trucks with exposed wheel wells, great stuff.
good product...the level of shine is perfect...dries slick but not sticky...looked great and seemed to repel dust and dirt until it rained. after rain the wheel wells rinsed clean without the sticky residue left from other products...my only concern is that it seems like alot of product is used
I love this stuff. It makes the differnce between a fair looking car and a great looking car.
awsome product, smells good tooo!!!
Agreed with what everyone else has stated. This works really well. I have found all sorts of uses for it. It works great for motorcycle rims (not chrome, black), exhaust pipes, and undercarriages. Watch it if you get some on your concrete floor though. It can be a little slick to walk on. :)
Great for wheel wells. Part of my wash routine.
This really worked much better than I expected. Just a quick spritz and everything looked clean and new. No need to even touch it or wipe. Definitely worth it!
Use this for the wheel wells and they look great! Nice and black! It also lasts for a good while. The smell is a bit strong, so don't spray this in the garage unless the doors are open. The smell is nice though, like Hawaiian Blue shaved ice flavoring. Makes me want a snow cone every time I use it!

Amazing product. The only spray-on-and-walk-away product I've ever been satisfied with. Really cuts time and effort in your wash/detail. The result gives the impression that you've worked on your wheel wells for hours. At the end of my wash/detail, I can't wait to apply Bare Bones!

This stuff woirks as advertised. On a 4x4 truck cleaning the wheel wells isn't enough, exposed frame parts, cables etc are clearly visible. BB Undercarriage Spray leaves a nice black surface and after a weeks worth of NE Ohio snow & salt a spray-off returned everything to looking good.

I have a lifted truck and this product is a must have for me. Did a test spot and it's still holding up well. Impressed.

What can I say? This is a must have product for the enthusiast. Just spray it into those wheel wells, and walk away, they have that same look they had the day you drove the car off the lot, just incredible.
