Buff and Shine Uro-Tec Yellow Polishing Foam Pad Reviews
Professional Detailer Reviews
My initial impressions of the Uro-Tec product line is that it seems like a great set of pads, and I really enjoyed using them. They remind me quite a bit of the Rupes foam pads which I had really grown to like in the past, especially the yellow polishing pads and white finishing pads. While the majority of my pad collection still consists of the traditional foam "flat pads", I anticipate purchasing more of the newly designed pads such as the ones found in the Uro-Tech line moving forward.

I purchased this pad in a 3 inch to try it out on a mini rotory. It's a winner for sure. Leaves a nice, clean finish that is like glass. Easy to clean, stays cool when using it on a rotory. I'm ready to buy some 5 inch Uro-technology pads now. Definitely going to try the coarse pads as well.
Transitioned most of my pads into the yellow foam. Super versatile and finishes great.
Used this pad for my polishing step after using the maroon med cut pad. Finished down nicely and left a wonderful finish. Ordered 3 initially and immediately ordered 2 more.
Buff and Shine was able to find a nearly identical foam to the famous, hallowed and revered yellow Rupes fine polishing pad. The pad that can be used with almost any polish under the sun, and perform flawlessly. Everything from cutting compounds, medium polishes, fine finishing, and cleaner waxes all works so well with this type of foam.
Buff and Shine did take some liberties that benefit the user experience though.
Rather than tapering to a sharp "pyramid base" like the Rupes pad, the Buff and Shine yellow has less of a spread at the base. This allows for a very concise, and tight polishing feel. It gives the technician more control. It also has more usable surface area of the pad face, because there isn't so much foam reaching out from the backing plate.
Like the Rupes Yellow, this pad is also very durable, but the loop backing is much more resilient, and hearty.
I'm confused as to why these pads aren't getting more press!
