Product Description
Buff and Shine Standard Orbital Foam Blue Heavy Cut Pad will allow you to cut or compound your paint to remove imperfections with ease! Pair it with your favorite compound or polish and you can make quick work of swirls, scratches, RIDS, oxidation and other heavy imperfections that are taking away from the overall luster of your paintwork. The Standard Orbital Foam pad lineup is made up of high-quality open cell foam of a higher density than traditional foam pads. This open cell structure and center hole helps to disperse heat and reduce pad softening during use. A 1" overall thickness and tapered edge profile extends contact with the surface during use and helps protect the paintwork from the edges of your backing plate. The foam is attached to the backing with premium heat resistant adhesives, which only adds to the overall durability of these pads.
Don't leave scratches, swirls, etc. in your paint, use the Buff and Shine Standard Orbital Foam Blue Heavy Cut Pad to remove them fast and easy!
Professional Detailer Reviews
My initial impressions of the Uro-Tec product line is that it seems like a great set of pads, and I really enjoyed using them. They remind me quite a bit of the Rupes foam pads which I had really grown to like in the past, especially the yellow polishing pads and white finishing pads. While the majority of my pad collection still consists of the traditional foam "flat pads", I anticipate purchasing more of the newly designed pads such as the ones found in the Uro-Tech line moving forward.

Customer Reviews
This is about the same exact foam as the Rupes coarse blue pad. It is rigid, and extremely coarse to the touch. In fact, upon first contact, you'd think it is the LAST thing you would ever want touching your paint..... Unless the paint was a total mess, in which case you might welcome the pad's aggressive nature.
A lot of people don't like this pad. It is stiff, it takes a bit of time and effort to break in, it starts to fray soon after use, it slings product, etc...
But if you can get past the initial acquaintance period you'll find a pad that runs very cool, doesn't require much if any pressure to cut, a pad that will be very difficult to clog, a pad that leaves a very nice finish, a pad that gets excellent rotation, and a pad that is easy to clean out.
I've been using these lately with 3D One, or Rupes Quarz Gloss on an old school Porter Cable 7424, in sizes 3", 5.5", and 6" from speeds 4 - 5.
