Product Description
The Autofiber MEGAnought XXXL Drying Towel is a high quality drying towel designed to safely and efficiently remove standing water from your paintwork. This drying towel takes everything you love with the standard Dreadnought and blows it up to the incredible size of 69" x 42". That's right, this towel is MEGA huge and makes drying quick with limited swipes across the paint. The MEGAnought is made with a unique triple layer construction. A long pile twist microfiber weave on one side, extra layer of microfiber in the middle, topped with a third microfiber layer on top. This construction helps wick away moisture from the surface and prevents moisture from soaking through to the other side of the towel. More layers means more surface area to lift and trap water while drying! The extra layer also makes the towel more firm and easier to gently pull across the surface using the pull-dry method. For other construction features this towel has interior sewn edges, center stitching, 1100 gsm, and a 75/25 blend. Well, what can be said about this thing? First, it is massive. No one reading this can find a child that wouldn't want to use this as a Superman or Supergirl cape... no one! As far as its drying abilities, in my specific case, I was able to dry a Land Rover LR3 and a Lexus LS400 — two fairly good sized vehicles — before this needed to be wrung out, which leads to really its only con: It takes three grown adults to wring this thing out. I find myself putting in the dryer to do that as I don't want to run the risk of it hitting the ground. It was three times the size that I expected, but it is the best thing in the world at quickly drying a vehicle. The question of 'would I buy this again' is conditional; only if it were somehow damaged, as I feel I only need one of these at a time, unlike other microfiber towels one might need several of. In the end, I cannot sing the praises of this monster enough.
It is enormously big. I can dry the roof, the good then leave it on the windshield until I'm done with the job.
