Which Tire Brushes Work For Your Car?

Sportscar Low Profile Tires

Tire brushes that can squeeze in safely around tires, like the one pictured above, are becoming more of a need.  We are seeing tires with less space becoming more common.  For this reason, these cars make it more difficult to effectively and safely clean tires and undercarriages.

DI Brushes Deluxe Contour Tire Brush is a very good tire brush but NOT appropriate for tires with minimal fender well room.

DI Brushes Deluxe Contour Tire Brush will not fit with cars that house narrower fender well spacing.

The Deluxe Contour brush pictured above can not clear the fender lip, meaning only the sidewall of tire can be cleaned.  If spacing was not an issue, this would probably be my favorite tire brush.  The grip is comfortable and contours to tires well for effective scrubbing.

The Tuf Shine Tire Brush is more ideally suited for low profile tire cleaning, where space is limited.

For special cases where room is EXTREMELY limited, the DI Brushes Speed Master Wheel Brush is a good option. Best yet, the Speed Master works great on rims and if you are looking for some rim suggestions, do not forget the Wheel Woolies. These are high-quality and can fit in almost any spacing wheels will throw at you.

The bristles are not as stiff as a traditional tire brush, which is a drawback.  But it can be gently bent, allowing you to contour the brush around your tire.  With a quality tire cleaner like Gyeon Tire Cleaner (see my review) it can still be an effective cleaner for reaching the back of a tire.
