We Got New Polishers 2023

Wow, what a year 2023 was for polishers at DI! We added 4 new polishers in 2023 that includes brands like Rupes and LC Power Tools. We’re going to quickly hit up on the the trends that we’re seeing and then talk about the highlights of the 4 new polishers.

Trends

This is the biggest year for polishers at DI that I can remember. The biggest game changing year has to be when the Rupes BigFoot caught fire. Before that maybe the Porter Cable, then there was Griot’s G9 and long throw releases. Now we have multiple releases and new brands to add to the mix.

• Increased Competition: We added two new brand of polishers; Dynabrade and the very well know power tools company Milwaukee. It’s getting increasingly competitive in the polisher space. We heard a bunch of buzz on the Milwaukee M18 FUEL 15mm and 21mm that we couldn’t ignore. Same with the DB8, you can’t ignore when famous detailer Renny Doyle releases a polisher that he’s been working on for years. And these are only the polishers that we picked up, it seems like everyone is getting into polishers.
• Batteries: I think we’re in the middle of the transition, especially since Rupes has entered the conversation with their new full sized battery powered polsihers in the iBrid HLR15 and HLR21. We’re not quite there yet for a full transition but I think battery powered tools are so much more convenient than corded and worth the trade off.
