Top 5 Coatings & Sealants of 2019!

With the overall looks and durability coatings offer, there is no secret to why we have seen them rise to the top of detailing protection charts. While it does take a little more work to apply, incredible gloss, hydrophobic properties and ease of maintenance really help you take your paint to the next level. But, with so many options on the market, what one should you choose to use? Below is a list of some of our top coatings based on sales, popularity, and buzz so far in 2019!

Honorable Mention: 22ple is a brand that flies under the radar and overall is a little less known, however, that is not for their lack in quality! Some of the easiest to apply and most durable coatings we have ever applied are from 22ple and they just released the new 22ple Insanity. All we hear are great things in terms of ease of use, incredible gloss, and durability. If you have not tried anything in the 22ple line yet, we recommend grabbing a bottle of Insanity. We do not believe that you will be disappointed!

Coatings have become such a hit that waxes and sealants have seemed to fall to the wayside for most detailers. While traditional paste sealants and waxes still have their place in most detailing collections, we are going to touch on Sio2 based sealants below. These sealants are designed to be used as coating toppers or even stand-alone protection products. They can be applied to virtually any surface (plastic trim, paint, glass, etc.) and application is incredibly easy (spray-on, wipe off). Honorable Mention: Don’t let the “wax” in the name fool you, the Meguiar’s Hybrid Ceramic Wax has nothing to do with a traditional “wax”. This is an Sio2 based spray sealant that increases gloss, leaves behind a nice layer of protection and comes at a great value. It sells very well and is certainly one to test out if you are looking for a new sealant.
