I have a question concerning terminology between polish and wax.
I tried the product Blackfire Wet Diamond all finish paint protection and the results were amazing.
My question is this, should I follow with hte Blackfire gloss enhancing polish or the reverse, start with polish then the finish paint protection?
Ray – I would be happy to help. Polishing is generally regarded as the most important step in the detailing process because it creates an optically clear surface so you get that deep shine back where as the sealant and wax can only enhance the way the paint already looks. You want to first polish the paint with the Blackfire Gloss Enhancing Polish before any protection. This product is a light polish paired with a glaze, meaning that the polishing particles will help clean the surface and remove light oxidation and micro contaminants embedded in the clear coat. Then the glaze part of this product will help fill in any micro imperfections you have, which helps with optical clarity.
After you apply the Gloss Enhancing Polishing you can apply the Blackfire Wet Diamond All Finish Paint Protection. This product however is a sealant, not a wax, so it will leave protection on your paint for 3-4 months instead of 3-4 weeks like most waxes. You can also top it with any wax you like to add more depth, gloss, and protection to the paint.
Hopefully this information was helpful and if you have any other questions I highly recommend you take a look at our Detailing Guide (https://www.detailedimage.com/Auto-Detailing-Guide/) for more in depth explanations on every step in the detailing process.
