SEMA Show 2012

Mike and I (Greg P), Co-Owners of DI, will be heading out to SEMA 2012 shortly and we’re really excited for the show.  As a refresher SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association) is the world’s largest automotive specialty product trade event.  On display will be some of the most exotic and rare cars in the world all trying to grab your attention in the seemingly endless rows of automotive eye candy.  Manufacturer’s of anything auto related gather in Las Vegas, NV for four days to display the latest and greatest products with approximately 1,500 brand new tools, parts and components to be introduced to the public. This show is so massive it takes up well over two million square feet of floor space and they’ll be outside in the parking lots too!   Manufacturer’s will be there from many industries including car care, wheels, tires, cars, trucks, hot rods, performance, racing, restoration, OEM, tools, electronics, lighting and so much more.  To help promote these products they have a wide range of celebrities attending SEMA 2012 that attendees can meet.

Over 60,000 buyers are expected to attend but unfortunately it’s not open to the general public.  Even though you may not be able to attend Mike and I will be reporting LIVE  via  Twitter, Facebook, Google+ and our Ask A Professional Detailer Blog.  We’ll keep you posted on new detailing products unveiled and any new information manufacturer’s pass along to us.  We’ve already heard some  whispers about some exciting new products in the works and we’re hoping they are finally ready for the public.  We will also be posting up tons of high quality pictures of the hottest cars and game changing products from the entire show.   So please stay tuned here from October 30th – November 2nd for all the latest SEMA news!

Update on 10/30 – Unfortunately the storm closed down our airport Monday and most of Tuesday and we will not be able to make it out to SEMA on Tuesday.  We regretfully have to cancel our lunch meet up on Wednesday but hopefully we can re-schedule for later in the week.  We are attempting to fly out on Wednesday morning and be there by Wednesday afternoon if the weather permits.  We’ll keep everyone posted here and on our social media outlets when we actually arrive in Vegas.  Thank you for your patience and we look forward to posting show updates as soon as possible!

Unfortunately due to the storm our entire airport closed Monday and all of Tuesday morning and we were not able to fly out. We have a flight for Wednesday morning and we’re hoping to still get out there by Wednesday afternoon though. Regretfully we’ll have to cancel our Wednesday lunch meet up near the Carroll Shelby tribute. We’ll try to let you know if we can re-schedule this later in the week but I want to make sure we can actually fly out of here Wednesday morning. Thank you for your understanding.
