The Rag Company The Gauntlet Drying Towel

The Rag Company Gauntlet Drying Towel Product Review

In the world of car detailing, where it counts every time you touch the surface, finding the perfect drying towel is greatly important. Enter The Rag Company Gauntlet Drying Towel, a high quality towel that promises to transform your car’s drying experience. In this blog post, we delve into what makes this drying towel stand out from the rest and why it’s a must-have for any car enthusiast.

One of the standout features of Gauntlet is its impressive absorption capabilities. Constructed using a unique twist loop/plush design, this towel boasts an impressive ability to soak up water quickly and efficiently. This makeup combines elements of the Rag Company’s popular Twist Loop material with elements from their Eagle Edgeless towel. This provides the towel the unique striped look with dual nap lengths, providing you with quick moisture wicking from the surface. 100% premium Korean fibers and a stout 900gsm provide a soft, yet sturdy towel feel and a tagless, microfiber suede edge provides you with extra safety against scratches. Whether you’re drying off a small sedan or a large SUV, the Gauntlet Drying Towel effortlessly wicks away moisture, leaving behind a streak-free finish.

While some drying towels may leave behind scratches or swirl marks, the Gauntlet Drying Towel takes a different approach. Crafted from premium microfiber material, this towel is incredibly gentle on all surfaces, including paint, glass, trim, and chrome.

This towel comes in multiple different sizes and I had my hands on the 20″ x 30″, which I find is the perfect drying towel size. However, if you want something smaller they have a 12″ x 12″ and 15″ x 24″. Want something larger? No problem! Reach for the 30″ x 36″. The photo below shows off the 20″ x 30″ size and a single swipe to remove the standing water on the surface.

The next two photos will show off the unique construction that we just covered. Take a look at the different nap lengths and stitching at a closer level.

We touched on the makeup, GSM, etc. but the Gauntlet Drying Towel is also built to last. Reinforced edges and a robust construction withstand repeated use and washing. I also snagged the corner of one of my trim pieces when drying and this towel did not fray or pull. Unlike cheaper alternatives, this drying towel maintains its performance even after becoming soaked with water, and after countless drying steps over the years.

While its primary function is drying cars, the versatility of this towel extends far beyond that. I found it works great for cleaning household surfaces, drying off dishes after a dinner, or even drying off pets after a bath. With its soft, lint-free fibers, the Gauntlet Drying Towel delivers exceptional results in any application.

Conclusion:

In the realm of car detailing, where quality will always reign supreme, The Rag Company Gauntlet Drying Towel emerges as a true top level performer. High level absorption, gentle touch, durability, and versatility, allow this towel to earn its place as a staple in the toolkit of every car enthusiast. Different sizes make customizing your drying process easy and a streak free finish is almost a guarantee.
