Here is a product to use if you are looking for a quick and easy way to get that slick feeling back on your paint!
I haven’t waxed my own car in a couple of months, and only washed it a few times in between. (sporadic rain, and no time due to a busy work schedule doing paint correction work every day). I wanted to get that feeling back of a new car, but I literally only had about 10-15 minutes, hardly enough time to apply and remove blackfire wet diamond (sealant of choice) on my midsized suv; nissan xterra. I broke out the new bottle of poorboys quick wax and tried a couple of different ways to apply it.
First off, I tried spraying it directly on the panel. While this worked out rather well in regards to apply, spread, remove, it was a pain NOT to get the mist on adjacent panels. While removal was a breeze from those panels, it was a nuisance. Plus, the stuff is kind of a thick consistency to be coming out of a sprayer evenly.
The next step I tried was spraying it onto a MF towel like the DI all purpose towel and spreading the wax across the panel, letting it haze over (about 15 seconds) and then removing. VOILA!! Super easy and effective with no over spray! The product took 10 seconds to haze over, and let you know it was ready for removal. Removing this stuff was super easy, almost too easy for me not to use it twice a month since it adds slickness and darkens the paint a bit, not to mention protects the paint.
The end result was a slightly darker paint, super slick feeling, and much easier washes following! One of the perks of this product is that it applies and removes easily in the sun, perfect for a mobile detailer who needs a source for a quick wax in higher temps and hotter panels in the sun!
