We left Albany, NY for MTE in Orlando, FL, and came back home to headquarters in 50 hours! Greg and I had a great first MTE. It was really nice to meet and catch up with so many people we work with. We loved seeing what MTE had to offer and how big detailing was a part of it.
I wrote this article on the plane ride home while I had everything still fresh in my head. Let’s get to some of the highlights.

- Buff and Shine showcased a self-centering pad with a protective edge to prevent the backing plate from accidentally nicking the paint. No release date at this time.
- IK featured demos of a battery-powered Foam Pro 12 and the battery compressor is sold separately as an add-on if you already have the Foam Pro 12. We also got to learn a little history about the IK brand.
- There was lots of energy and excitement at the IDA annual meeting. Congrats to all the winners and #detailkid for being the youngest to ever be IDA certified at 11 years old. 100% awesome to see how big the IDA has become.
In closing, the show was popping! Now it’s time to get to work on a few things from all the great conversations we had.
