What is Pinterest?
Pinterest is a relatively new site that vows to “connect everyone in the world through the ‘things’ they find interesting”. It is a way for everyone to share something they find “interesting” or “cool” through the use of pictures. You can follow people or businesses and share these interests through the use of a specially designed “Pin It” button. You can find this Pin It button on many of your favorite sites so you can pin pictures quickly and easily!
How Pinterest Relates to Detailing
There is nothing better than before and after pictures and seeing the paint pop on a freshly detailed vehicle. Show off your work from taking a vehicle with dead paint to that floating mirror look we all strive for in detailing. Share your techniques of how you made the vehicle look so great and exactly what products you used to achieve it. You can also share your interest in cars, motorcycles, or absolutely anything else! It’s not limited to only detailing!
How to Use Pinterest
Currently Pinterest is an invite-only community, meaning that you need to have an existing member invite you to set up an account. If you don’t know someone who is already on Pinterest, you can head over to the Pinterest invite page to request an invite. Once you have created your account you can post photos, as well as liking, repining, and commenting on others photos.
You can also pin photos by uploading your own photos, or sharing interesting ones from your favorite site, like DetailedImage.com! You can even share your favorite pictures from our Ask-A-Pro Blog. Just simply hover the desired photo in one of our articles and click the Pin It button in the upper left hand corner. It’s that easy!
In addition to our existing Facebook, Twitter, and Google+ pages, we hope that you’ll find our Pinterest page one more way to connect with Detailed Image and the detailing community on your favorite social networks. If you have any questions or feedback let us know below in the comments.
