Among the various detailing products available, detail sprays often top the list of “let’s see what works best.” A few years ago, Nextzett introduced its own advanced detail spray, Perfect Shine, designed to provide exceptional results.
As I mentioned in past articles, the art of formulating a product is a balance of ingredients that are not only compatible and produce the best results on the surface being treated but are also in harmony with one another.
Nextzett Perfect Shine is a detail spray that leaves behind a mono-molecular protective film on the surface of a vehicle (more on that in a moment) for a showroom finish shine that leaves a high gloss finish as well as a protective layer compatible with all surface finishes including sealants, waxes, PPF, and coatings.
Perfect Shine features a blend of special silicones (note: not paint shop safe) and other protective ingredients, enabling easy application even in direct sunlight with minimal smearing and streaking.
Understanding Mono-Molecular Nano Protective Films
Mono-Molecular Nano Protective Films are ultra-thin layers, one molecule thick, that create a durable barrier on the car’s surface, enhancing protection and gloss.
As far as nano technology, which tends to be overused, in this case, it allows the product to fill in microscopic imperfections, resulting in a smooth and protective layer for the aesthetic “showroom finish” we all desire.
Benefits
- Hydrophobic Properties: While not at the same level as semi-permanent ceramic coatings, MMNPF’s help to repel water and, in turn, reduce water spotting.
- UV and Weather Protection: Shields the surface from UV rays, preventing oxidation adn fading over time. Perfect Shine is not a substitute for longer-term protective products like sealants, PPF, and ceramic coatings but aids and enhances the protective nature of these protectants.
Application Process
Applying Perfect Shine is as simple as applying any other detail spray. There is no cure time or special preparation required.
Preparation: The surface of the vehicle should be washed and dried before applying. Perfect Shine will add the boost of gloss enhancement and remove any water spots.
Application: Using a quality microfiber cloth (a general-purpose microfiber or, preferably, a high pile Korean-style microfiber towel) spray directly on the vehicle surface or the towel and wipe down the surface. Like all Nextzett products, a little goes a long way so don’t be overly generous when spraying. Just a few fine mists in a 3×3 foot area will be enough.
Buffing: Finally, using a clean and dry side of the towel, buff off any remaining residue.
Benefits of Using Nextzett Perfect Shine
Whether you are wrapping up a weekly wash or doing a final wipe-down as you’re about to present your car at the car show, Perfect Shine will make it easy to leave a high gloss shine without a lot of fuss when it comes to applying.
It leaves a slick, high gloss shine that is easy to apply without a lot of effort to buff off to a streak-free finish.
Apply Perfect Shine on all different surface materials of a car like metal, plastic, and glass.
Let’s Compare
- Traditional Waxes and Sealants: Perfect Shine doesn’t replace waxes and sealants but instead enhances their protection with regular use.
- Other Nano-Based Products: While Perfect Shine goes beyond your average quick detailer, it differs in its performance compared to polymer based-detailers and SiO2 sprays. Compared to other polymer-based detailers, Perfect Shine simplifies application, requiring less effort when buffing off and is less affected by environmental conditions (heat, humidity, etc.) during application. While we always prefer applying any product out of direct sunlight, we made Perfect Shine so that it’s easily applied even in direct sunlight. It doesn’t leave a residue and doesn’t get grippy as you buff off.
- Compared to SiO2 Sprays: Perfect Shine has less durability/longevity so it doesn’t last for months. However, it can be used often and is easier to apply. It also costs less than SiO2 sprays.
Tips and Tricks for Optimal Results
Start off with a washed/dry surface before applying Perfect Shine. Use a quality microfiber cloth that has at least a medium pile. However, we do prefer a high pile like a Korean-style microfiber towel. Our go-to towels are from Autofiber.
Although it’s going to sound like I’m contradicting myself, paired with a high-pile microfiber cloth, Perfect Shine can be used as a waterless wash spray to remove dust and dirt. It’s vital that you use proper technique to avoid scratches. Fold the towel in half several times, spray the surface generously, and apply in an up and down motion without lifting the towel. Make sure you keep flipping the towel to a clean side after a couple of passes.
Conclusion
Perfect Shine provides an extra level of gloss and shine with ease and lasting results. Whether applied over ceramic coatings, sealant wax, carnauba wax, or PPF, it delivers fantastic results.
