Company Philosophy
Detailed Image is run by its owners Greg Pautler, Adam McFarland, and Michael Li. We treat our customers the same way that we like to be treated while shopping online. Our goal is to provide you with the highest quality products to meet and exceed your detailing goals at a great value.
We hand pick each product on our site from manufacturers around the world. We are not affiliated with particular manufacturers, so we take great pride in helping you find the products that work best for your particular needs without bias. Regardless of your budget, detailing goals, or time restrictions we have the products to help you clean, shine, and protect virtually every surface on your vehicle.
In combination with right products, we have the detailing experience to help you learn the proper techniques involved with high quality detailing. Our Detailing Guide and Ask A Pro blog provide detailed instructions for each step in the process. We are also here to help you with any questions you may have about how to do any step in the process with advice tailored to your needs.
When you make a purchase with us you are not just purchasing awesome detailing supplies, you are supporting a company that truly cares about its employees and its community! Our full-time employees have their entire health insurance premiums covered by us along with matching contributions to a retirement plan, and all employees receive paid time off. In our community we have done volunteer work at local colleges, coached youth sports, participated in charitable work, and more.

Company History
Detailed Image was founded in 2004. The business started out of home with very humble beginnings and a lot of "sweat equity". It began growing very fast and it quickly became a full-time job. We initially did both a professional detailing service and operated our online store, but we later sold the service side of the business to focus exclusively on e-commerce.
In 2006 we formed Pure Adapt Inc to be a parent company to Detailed Image and our other ventures.
In 2008 we moved the business to a 5,300 sq ft warehouse in Guilderland, NY to accommodate our growing inventory. We're continually improving upon the efficiency of our warehouse operations to ensure that every order is shipped quickly, accurately, and safely.
In 2010 we launched our Ask A Pro Blog, a community of some of the best detailers in the US who write about their top quality detail work, how to guides, product reviews and much more. This rare collection of in-depth articles can quickly help a novice detailer get outstanding results.
In 2013 we launched our redesigned website to provide you with a superior shopping experience. The site now looks better and functions more efficiently, whether you're on your computer, phone, or tablet, saving you time and money.
In 2016 we expanded and upgraded our warehouse. Our facility grew to approximately 10,000 sq ft to include a new office, conference room, break room, more space for inventory, and an improved workflow that is helping us ship your orders even faster.
In 2019 and again in 2021 we expanded and upgraded our warehouse to accommodate our growing product selection. Our total space is now over 22,000 sq ft!
From 2015-2019 Pure Adapt was named to the Inc. 5000, a list of the fastest-growing private companies in America! According to Inc., only 4% of companies make the list five times!
From 2016-2019 we were also named to the Albany Business Review's list of the Fastest-Growing Companies in the Albany region. In addition, the Albany Business Review named us one of the Best Places to Work in the Albany area!
