Product Description
3D AAT Cutting Compound 501 helps you safely and quickly remove heavy imperfections in your paint! 3D AAT Cutting Compound is formulated using Adaptive Abrasive Technology and without petroleum products. This unique formulation allows the compound to quickly remove swirls, scratches, oxidation, watermarks, and more without generating a great deal of heat to ensure safety. The detailer will be polishing the paint for a shorter amount of time and be left with a finish free of heavy compounding haze. Overall, this saves valuable detailing time and money! Pair with a corrective pad and a few small drops of 501 on a rotary or dual action polisher for excellent results. After use, you may have some light haze on sensitive finishes, so 3D does recommend using the 3D AAT Finishing Polish 502 to remove haze and finish the paint down to perfection. When you are finished polishing, residue wipes away incredibly easy, no streaks, smears, or excess buildup on your microfiber towel. 3D AAT 501 Cutting Compound is the industry's top compounding polish with Adaptive Abrasive Technology (a multi-surface leveling agent that accelerates/enhances performance).
Specially engineered micro abrasives are designed to quickly correct and level virtually any cured or fresh painted surface.
Directions
Sand to desired level of grit. Set buffer speed (3D preferred speed 1000-1500 RPM's). Apply enough 3D AAT Cutting Compound 501 to work a 2' x 2' area using either 3D Wool pad or 3D Spider-Cut foam pad. Buff with slow back and forth overlapping motions until sanding scratches are eliminated. Remove any residue with a clean microfiber cloth.

If you are sick of dusty, chalky, messy compounds, this (and ACA500) are where to look.
It plays and feels like a polish, but it has some serious teeth to it. Not quite as quick as the ACA500, but still better than M100 and FG400.
I like that it doesn't smell like It's gonna kill brain cells. It actually smells a bit like melon.
For as heavy as this guys. It finishes out very nicely.
If you don't want to spend ACA money, but still want a high performance compound, look no further.
